Exploratory Stage: It begins when the new employee joins the organization.
Employee finds himself in a mismatch condition which cannot be set right by the induction programme.
It takes time for him to adapt to the organization & his job
Establishment Stage: Employee expects feed back from his superiors.
Feed back enables the new employee to know the effectiveness of his perfomance.
Feedback provides a sense of accomplishment to the employee.
Maintenance Stage: This is a Mid-Career stage for employees who strive hard to retain their established name & Fame.
The organization need to renew & Update the skills of its employees.
This is a crucial stage unless the organization adopts suitable career development plan
Stage of Decline: At this stage employees usually get ready for their retirement.
The organization should provide the employee with a suitable development programme.
Helps the employee to prepare mentally for retirement.
