1 Allgemeines

1.1 Diverses

� Die IBM Data Management Produkte werden für ISV1/TP2 zum Download bereitge-stellt. Media Packs können, falls benötigt, separat bestellt werden.

� Als Lizenzierungsnachweis gilt neben der Seriennummer die BYTEC-Rechnung bzw.die Rechnung des ISV/TP an den Endkunden.

� Alle Produkte können nur mit zwölf (12) Monaten Wartung (Maintenance) angebotenwerden (siehe Abschn. 5, S. 24). Um Produkte, die nicht unter Wartung sind, wieder ineinen Wartungsvertrag aufzunehmen wird jeweils ein sog. Reinstatement notwendig.

� Bitte beachten Sie die Einschränkungen von Informix Growth Edition, Informix ChoiceEdition und Informix Express Edition. Einen Vergleich der Editionen haben wir in derDatei Lizenzübersicht bereitgestellt.

� Mit den neuen Editionen entfallen die Mindestabnahmemengen für alle Informix Edi-tionen.

1.2 Besonderheiten der Authorized Embedded User

Sowohl ein Named User als auch ein Named Embedded User (beide nachfolgend Benut-zer genannt) sind eine Person, eine Maschine, ein Programm oder eine Einheit mit einerbestimmten Identität (nachfolgend ID genannt) innerhalb oder außerhalb des Kundenunter-nehmens. Benutzer verfügen über eine eindeutige Identität. IDs können nicht übertragenwerden. Mit einer ID können eine oder mehrere Verbindungen hergestellt werden; sie zähltals ein Benutzer. Jeder Benutzer, der entweder direkt oder indirekt auf das Programm odereine Programmkomponente zugreift, benötigt eine Programmlizenz. Ein indirekter Zugriffwäre z. B. der Zugriff über ein Multiplexing-Programm, ein Endgerät oder einen Anwen-dungsserver.Der Hauptunterschied zwischen Named User und Named Embedded User besteht darin,dass im Falle eines Named Embedded User die folgenden Kriterien eingehalten werden

müssen:

Paketierung

� Die IBM Programme müssen auf dem Produktdatenträger des Anwendungsprogrammsals integrierte Komponenten enthalten sein, oder

� die Endbenutzer müssen darauf hingewiesen werden, dass sie nicht berechtigt sind,die Programme einzeln oder unabhängig von der Paketlösung zu installieren.

Installation

� Das IBM Programm muss von der Installationsroutine des Anwendungsprogrammsals integrierte Komponente installiert oder konfiguriert werden. Der Endbenutzer darfnicht in der Lage sein, IBM Programme außerhalb des Installationsprozesses zu kon-figurieren.

� Das Anwendungsprogramm muss eine oder mehrere vorkonfigurierte Konfigurationenfür das IBM Programm enthalten, die der Endbenutzer bei der Installation auswäh-len kann, um die ursprüngliche Konfiguration für das IBM Programm und das weitereDatenbankmanagement zu minimieren.

Zugriff

� Der Endbenutzer kann nicht direkt auf die IBM Programme zugreifen. Der Zugriff aufdie IBM Programme darf nur über das Anwendungsprogramm möglich sein. Das An-wendungsprogramm muss vom Solution-Provider so entworfen und entwickelt werden,dass der Endbenutzer nur minimale Aufgaben im Bereich der Datenbankverwaltungdurchführen muss. Dies kann durch eine Zentral- oder Remoteverwaltung und/oderintegrierte Verwaltungsfunktionen erreicht werden. Der Endbenutzer soll z. B. nichtin der Lage sein, die folgenden allgemeinen Datenbankoperationen durchzuführen:Benutzer anlegen, Aufgabenbereich erstellen, Datenbank erstellen, Datendateien er-stellen, Datenbankobjekte erstellen, wie z. B. Tabellen, Indizes, Ansichten, Synonyme,Pakete, Prozeduren, Funktionen etc.

� Alle Verwaltungsscripts, einschließlich Systemstart, Systemabschuss und Sicherung,sind vom Solution-Provider im Rahmen des Anwendungsprogramms bereitzustellen.

� Bei einem Ad-hoc-Informationszugriff darf der Endbenutzer nicht in der Lage sein, daszugrunde liegende Datenschema zu sehen. Der Partner muss vordefinierte Datenan-sichten bereitstellen, die eine Anzeige des zugrunde liegenden Datenschemas durchden Endbenutzer verhindern.

� Wenn das Anwendungspaket in anderen Anwendungen/Datenbanken integriert wer-den muss, ist der Endbenutzer nicht berechtigt, auf die Datenbank zuzugreifen, umdie Datenübertragung vorzubereiten (z. B. Definition eines Stapelprozesses von derDatenbank im Anwendungspaket zu einer anderen Datenbank). Der Partner muss vor-definierte APIs bereitstellen, um Daten im Anwendungspaket zu übertragen, und dasManagement der Datenübertragung muss im Rahmen der Anwendung erfolgen.

� Der Endbenutzer ist nicht berechtigt, IBM Tools oder Tools Dritter für den Zugriff aufintegrierte IBM Technologie zu verwenden.

1.3 Besonderheiten der Informix Editionen

Express Edition

Die Express Edition unterliegt keinerlei Neuerungen und bleibt somit in ihren alten Funktio-nalitäten und Restriktionen bestehen.Das Programm darf nicht auf einem Server installiert werden, dessen Prozessorausstattungmehr als 200 VU entspricht. Es dürfen nicht mehr als 4 GB Speicher benutzt werden. DieExpress Edition ist für die Betriebssysteme Windows und Linux in der 32bit Variante verfüg-bar.

Die folgenden Funktionen des Programms dürfen nicht genutzet werden: Parallele Abfra-ge, Paralleles Backup/Paralleler Restore, Parallele Indexerstellung, High-Performance Loa-der, Tabellen/Index-/DBSpace-Partitionierung, Enterprise Replication (ER), I-Spy, IDS High-Availability Data Replication (HDR), IDS HDR with Multiple Remote Secondary Servers,DBSpace-Priorisierung während Backup/Restore, Richtlinie für Zielsetzung der Recovery-Zeit (Recovery Time Objective Policy), I-STAR, Web-Feature-Service, Node Datablade, Punk-tuelle Tabellenrecovery (Point-in-Time Table Recovery), Online-Schemareorganisation/-neudefinition,automatische Erfassung von Statistikdaten bei Indexerstellung, Privater Speichercache fürVP, Direkte E/A für aufbereitete Dateien, Last Commit Concurrency, Mehrfachtrigger für Ta-bellen und Sichten, SQL Admin API, Verschlüsselung auf Spaltenebene, Optische Unter-stützung (WORM), Continuous Availability Feature.

Choice Edition

Das Programm darf in Serverumgebungen mit 2 CPUs mit max. 8 Kernen und 8 GB Spei-cher verwendet werden. Die Choice Edition ist ausschließlich für die Bestriebssysteme Win-dows und Mac verfügbar.

Die folgenden Funktionen sind nicht nutzbar: Parallele Features, Partitionierung, Kompri-mierung, SDS, LBAC sowie das SQL Warehousing Tool. Die Enterprise Replikation (ER),sowie High Availability Data Replication (HDR) und RSS sind für Cluster mit bis zu zweiKnoten erlaubt.

Growth Edition

Das Programm darf in Serverumgebungen mit 4 CPUs mit max. 16 Kernen und 16 GB Spei-cher verwendet werden.

Gegenüber der Workgroup Editionen wurde die Growth Edition um Shared Disk Secon-dary (SDS) und Enterprise Replikation (ER) erweitert. Hinzu gekommen sind außerdemdie Funktionalitäten des Warehouse Features und des Continuous Availibility Features.Da Lizenzkosten für den Secondary nur im Hot-Standby Betrieb anfallen, können mit derneuen Growth Edition einfach Cluster "gebaut"werden. Es sind Cluster mit insgesamt biszu drei Knoten möglich. Diese dürfen aus einer beliebigen Kombination von SDS, HDRund RSS Servern bestehen. Bei der Growth Edition können im Hot Standby verschiedeneBetriebssysteme auf den Servern verwendet werden und die Lizenzmodelle können va-riieren, z.B. Knoten 1 mit IUE 560 VU auf Linux und Knoten 2 mit IUE und 20 CS aufWindows. Nicht verwendet werden dürfen weiterhin Features wie: DBSpace-Priorisierungwährend Backup/Restore, ISTAR, Parallele Abfrage, High Performance Loader, Parallele

Das Storage Optimization Feature bleibt weiter optional und kostenpflichtig.Wie auch in der Growth Edition können in Hot Standby Clustern verschiedene Betriebssy-steme auf den Servern verwendet werden und die Lizenzmodelle können variieren.

5 Maintenance IBM Software

Maintenance (Wartung) ist ein unverzichtbarer Bestandteil eines jeden Produktes und wirdbeim Produktkauf für die Dauer von 12 Monaten miterworben. Die Wartungspreise findenSie direkt bei den jeweiligen Produkten. Für Produkte ohne gültigen Wartungsvertrag istkeine Anrechnung möglich, wenn neue Versionen oder andere Plattformen benötigt werden.Sie müssen neu erworben werden.Wartungsverträge werden über ISV/TP an Endkunden vertrieben. ISV/TP mit ”Wartungs-und Unterstützungsvereinbarung für Wiederverkäufer” (Plattformvertrag, s. Abschn. 5.1, S.27) schließen die Verträge mit Ihren Endkunden ab. ISV/TP ohne Plattformvertrag vermittelndie Wartungsverträge an Bytec.

Maintenance für Lizenzen:

Wartungsverträge werden für mindestens 12 Monate abgeschlossen und verlängern sichautomatisch um weitere 12 Monate, wenn sie nicht gekündigt werden. Sie beinhalten:

� kostenlose Updates

� kostenlose Plattformwechsel

� Zugriff auf die Bytec-Hotline

� und bilden die Grundlage für den 24x7 Support

Reinstatement (Abschlussgebühr):

Für ältere Lizenzen ohne Wartung, bzw. für Lizenzen, deren Wartungsvertrag gekündigtwurde, und damit eine wartungsfreie Zeit entstanden ist, wird eine Abschlussgebühr erho-ben, die bei den einzelnen Produkten angegeben ist. Die Wartung für die kommenden 12Monate ist darin bereits enthalten.

Beispiele für Wartungsänderungen

� Wechsel auf eine andere Version desselben Vertragsproduktes auf derselben Platt-form, wobei sich nur die Zahlen und Buchstaben nach dem Dezimalpunkt ändern (z.B.von Version 7.32 -> Version 7.50) - Update kostenlos.

� Wechsel auf eine andere Version desselben Vertragsproduktes auf derselben Platt-form, wobei sich die Zahlen und Buchstaben vor dem Dezimalpunkt ändern (z.B. vonVersion 10.00 -> Version 11.50) - Upgrade kostenlos, aber ggf. Anpassung der War-tungsgebühren auf das aktuelle Preisniveau.

� Wechsel von Hardware und/oder Betriebssystem (z.B. von HP/HP-UX -> SUN/SPARC/Solaris, von Intel Windows -> Intel Linux) - Plattformwechsel kostenlos

� Erhöhung der Benutzer (z.B. von 17 -> 24 Benutzer) - Userzukauf nach Produkt-Neupreisen

� Wechsel von Produkten - nur im Rahmen der in der Preisliste enthaltenen Produkttra-deups, z.B. IDS 7.x -> IDS

� Splitting bzw. Zusammenführung von Lizenzen (z.B. von 32 User -> 2 x 16 User bzw.2 x 16 User -> 32 User) -> kostenpflichtig (Preis folgt)

Die vorstehenden Regeln und Preise für Wartung dienen als Leitfaden. Da eine Reihe vonabweichenden Regelungen existiert, bitten wir Sie, sich von uns für jeden konkreten Fall einAngebot erstellen zu lassen.

5.1 Plattformverträge

Eine Plattform wird definiert als binärkompatible Rechnerfamilie und umfasst ein darauf ver-fügbares Betriebssystem inkl. sämtlicher Releasestände. Die intel-basierenden Betriebssy-steme Linux und Solaris x86 bilden eine Plattform. Ebenso bilden alle intel-basierendenMicrosoft-Betriebssysteme eine Plattform.Ein Plattformvertrag wird zwischen dem ISV/TP und Bytec geschlossen und garantiert dieHotline-Unterstützung bei Software-Problemen in der Entwicklung. Die Kosten des Platt-formvertrages betragen je Plattform 1000 EUR. Im Plattformvertrag sind enthalten:

� Zugriff auf die Bytec-Hotline und Support bei Entwicklungsproblemen

� Unterstützungsvereinbarungen für Endkunden (Nachträge)

� Sonderkonditionen auf Bytec-Datenbank-Dienstleistungen und Schulungen

Der Plattformvertrag bildet außerdem die Basis für Wartungsverträge zwischen dem ISV/TPund seinem Endkunden. Dazu meldet der ISV/TP die Wartungsverträge3, die er mit End-kunden abschließt, per Nachtrag zum Plattformvertrag. Der ISV/TP erbringt den First-Level-Support gegenüber seinem Endkunden und erhält von Bytec Second-Level-Support und dievertraglich vereinbarten Wartungsleistungen für Lizenzen.

Bytec 24x7 kann als Erweiterung für IBM/Informix-Lizenzen zu einem bestehenden Maintenance-Vertrag abgeschlossen werden. 24x7 Supporterweiterungen werden dringend empfohlen:
