Gotta Make Things Different

Sam I wish I was part of something…

Feels like I just don’t belong. Been like this far too long. I’m tired of being the one, The one who’s always in the wrong. I’m sick of feeling just like I’ll never lose this anger. Wish it would melt away, ’Cos all the fighting an’ shouting, All the stuff I’m doing, Don’t wanna live this way.

Sam / Chorus Gotta make things different somehow. I know I’ve got to change, Must find a new way to be. Gonna make a start from right now, Just like a brand new page. I know I need to be a brand new me.

Sam Don’t wanna feel so down. I have to lose this frown. I know that this is my time, And from today I’m moving on.

Chorus I’m sick of feeling just like...

Gotta make things different somehow... (etc.)

Oo-oo, I know I’ve got to change, Must find a new way to be. Gonna make a start from right now, Just like a brand new page. I know I need to be a brand new me.

Sam I need to be a brand new me.

There’s Always One

Dee (& Chorus L.) There’s always one, and it’s always him. There is no way we can let him in. He will be trouble, of that we’re sure. Trouble just ain’t what we’re looking for.

Taylor (& Chorus R.) All that you’re saying, it may be true, But we don’t know what he’s going through. Why not find out where he’s coming from? He needs a chance – a place he can belong.

Taylor I agree Sam’s got a lousy track record – but so has Mitch! Sam just needs a break.

Dee Give up, Taylor. I’ve never even seen him dance.

Taylor Well now’s your chance!

Taylor & Chorus R. We’ve all had chances been given to us. Give him a break! Stop making a fuss. If it turns out the decision was wrong He won’t stay for long!

Chorus Left Dee’s told you once and he’s told you twice. You’d better listen to his advice. Taylor & Chorus Right Mitch lets you down then your chances are slim. Look over there! The solution might be him.

Everything Is Looking Different

Everybody needs a way they can succeed. It’s a fact of life that all of us agree. I’ve been angry, I’ve been losing self-control What I need’s an aim, a purpose or a goal

Situations often filled me with despair. Guess I gave up trying ‘cos I didn’t care. But I’m changing, rearranging how I see. Feels like this could be a turning point for me.

So I’ve got to choose it, get a grip and move it. From today I want to live a better way.

Everything is looking different now ’Cos today all the world looks new somehow. And tomorrow when the sun comes up I will rise, I will shine: I’m not the same now! No more hiding in the dark for me Now I’ve opened my eyes and I can see. There’s a strength and a freedom in me, So I know I’ll never be the same.

I’ve been tired of facing problems on my own, Wishing for a friend to text or call my phone. But I’m changing, rearranging how I see. Feels like this could be a turning point for me.

So I’ve got to choose it, get a grip and move it. From today I want to live a better way.

Everything is looking different now... (etc.)

[key change]

Everything is looking different now... (etc.)

...Never be the same!

Today’s A New Day

Chorus L. Today’s a new day, they’re on the move. Today’s a new day, so much to do.

Chorus R. They’re getting closer to their goal. They can get there if they try. They’re getting closer to their goal. Gotta keep on moving, aiming high.

Chorus They know just where they’re going, No intention of slowing, With their eyes fixed on the prize. And the challenge is The thing that drives them...

Chorus R. ...on.

Chorus L. Today’s a new day, they’re on the move. Today’s a new day, so much to do.

Chorus L. Chorus R. Today’s a new day, They’re getting closer to

their goal. They’re on the move. They can get there if they try. Today’s a new day, They’re getting closer to

aiming... Today’s a new day, They’re getting closer to

their goal. They’re on the move. They can get there if they try.

All Aiming high now, Aiming high now, Aiming high now, Yes, they’re aiming... high!

Bring It On! Sam (or All) The future looked so hazy. Thought I was going crazy. Something happened To make everything amazing! Sam & Nicole (or All) Now the world looks brighter. My heart is feeling lighter. Something’s changing And I know which way I’m going. All So we say ‘bring it on!’ The future’s ours, where we belong. And now we know when things go wrong It’s not the end, so let’s move on. Once we were disconnected. And it’s so unexpected: Something’s happened To make everything amazing! Lonely days behind us. Together’s where you’ll find us! Something’s changing And we know which way we’re going. So we say ‘bring it on!’ The future’s ours, where we belong. And now we know when things go wrong It’s not the end, so let’s move on.
