IN PERFETTA SIMBIOSI GRAZIE AD UN NUOVO CONCEPT PRODUTTIVO

Gattoni Rubinetteria offre un nuovo concetto di rubinetto già utilizzato sulla serie Icarus: non come una entità unica, ma come oggetto composto

da due parti ciascuna con una propria identità, fra di esse in perfetta simbiosi, indivisibili perché funzionali l’una all’altra. Un insieme di

“carrozzeria” e “motore” come fossero “corpo” ed “anima” perché all’esterno presenta un corpo dall’estetica accattivante mentre all’interno risiede

un’anima cilindrica che ospita tutti i componenti necessari per il suo funzionamento. È un sistema ideato da Gattoni Rubinetteria che assicura una

nuova modalità di intervento in caso di manutenzione o sostituzione di parti interne, perché questa è effettuabile con facilità e rapidità agendo

direttamente sul rubinetto già installato sul sanitario, senza staccare il miscelatore dall’impianto e senza costringere gli idraulici ad operazioni

sottolavabo... da contorsionisti.

Two separate entities: “body shell” and “motor” in a perfect symbiosis thanks to a new production concept. Gattoni Rubinetteria offers a new mixer

concept, already seen in the Icarus series: not as one single entity, but as an object composed of two parts each with their own identity. Between them,

a perfect symbiosis, inseparable since they are functional one another. A set of “body shell” and “motor” as if they were “body” and “soul” since outside

its body is captivating and inside a cylindrical core hosts all operating components. This system was conceived by Gattoni Rubinetteria that guarantees a

new way of maintenance or replacement of internal parts, since it can be made easily and quickly working directly on the mixer already installed on the

sanitary fitting, without removing the mixer and without working on the under sink parts... as if they were contortionists.

Pietro Gaeta, architetto e designer, nato a Matera nel 1961, si laureato è in Architettura presso l’Università di Firenze, ha iniziato la sua carriera

professionale come assistente di Alessandro Mendini, collaborando a vari progetti di architettura, design di interni e design industriale, tra i

quali: “Casa Antonello”di Milano, Olanda Groninger Museum, il Museo di Merone “Urban Flower “una piazza di Toyama in Giappone, Guglielmo

Tabacchi Gallery di Padova, e la mostra” L’étrange Univers de Carlo Mollino “, al Centre George Pompidou di Parigi.

Durante la carriera professionale, lavora come designer per Alessi Tendentse, Glas, Interflex, Lelù, Akanto, Phorma, Salviati, Colombostile,

Segno e Swatch, per quest’ultima ha progettato la collezione di telefoni e segreterie telefoniche Twintam e Twinphone. Svolge attività di

direttore artistico per aziende come Segno, Canal Street, per le quali sviluppa progetti e coordina designers per lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti.

Partecipa a numerose mostre in Italia e all’estero, tra cui: Love suite love - SIA Guest 2011 Rimini, Love suite love - Host 2011 Milano, Master

Pietro Gaeta, born in Matera in 1961. Having graduated in architecture at the University of Florence, Pietro Gaeta started his professional career

as the assistant of Alessandro Mendini, and collaborated to many professional design and architecture projects, amongst which: “Casa Antonello”

in Milan, Holland’s Groninger Museum, the Muesum of Merone, “Urban Flower” a square in Toyama in Japan, Guglielmo Tabacchi’s Gallery and

the exhibition “L’entrange Univers de Carlo Mollino” at the Centre George Pompidou in Paris. He worked as a designer for Alessi Tendentse, Glas,

Interflex, Lelù, Opposite, Phorma, Salviati, Steel and Swatch, for which he designed the 1994-95 Twintam telephone collection, and Twin answering

phone machines for SMH Italy.

From 1995 to 1998 he was art director at Segno and Canal Street, lighting companies. He took part in a number of exhibitions in Italy and abroad,

amongst which: “100 forme della luce: Italia 1945-2000″ - at the Triennale in Milan in 2001, “Face Italian Design Gallery” (New York, ICFF, 1998),

Da tempo avevo in mente di disegnare un rubinetto! L’occasione si è presentata quando mi è stato chiesto di disegnare un nuovo “vestito” per un

nuovo concetto di rubinetto. Un miscelatore monocomando costituito da due entità separate “carrozzeria” e “motore”, in perfetta simbiosi, in linea

con un nuovo concept produttivo. Molto adatto per la praticità di intervento all’ambito contract, dove la funzionalità di un rubinetto si associa al

successo di un soggiorno in hotel oppure alla qualità di un luogo pubblico ma non solo, il “vestito” che propongo, ricco di rimandi stilistici, si adatta

perfettamente anche all’ambito domestico. Un progetto trasversale! Un volume elementare e articolato allo stesso tempo, su cui appoggia una leva

dalla forma generosa che ne sottolinea l’essenzialità e da valore aggiunto alla sua semplicità e praticità. Forse è un’ala di un aliante, carico di una

sua espressione poetica, forse è la leva di comando di una turbina industriale. Un rubinetto pensato per essere usato con facilità grazie alla forma

generosa della leva monocomando. Una raccomandazione: “Ricordatevi di chiudere il rubinetto!”

Designing a mixer was already on my mind! The occasion came up when they asked us to design a new “dress” for a new concept of mixer. A single control

mixer made up of two separate entities “body shell” and “motor”, in a perfect symbiosis, in line with the new production concept. Very appropriate since

it provides easy maintenance for the contract sector, where mixer’s functionality is associated to a successful stay at a hotel or to the quality of a public

facility or also, the “dress” I suggest, rich in style references, perfectly fits the home environment as well. A transversal project! A basic and complex

volume at the same time, on which a lever with a generous form underlines essentiality and adds value to its simplicity and functionality. Maybe the

wing of a glider, filled with its poetical expression, maybe the control lever of an industrial turbine. A mixer conceived to be used easily thanks to the

generous form of the single control lever. A recommendation: “Remind turning the mixer off!”

FACILE MANUTENZIONE TECNICA È un sistema ideato da Gattoni Rubinetteria che assicura una nuova modalità di intervento in caso di manutenzione o sostituzione di parti interne, perché

questa è effettuabile con facilità e rapidità agendo direttamente sul rubinetto già installato sul sanitario, senza staccare il miscelatore dall’impianto e senza

costringere gli idraulici ad operazioni sottolavabo... da contorsionisti.

This system was conceived by Gattoni Rubinetteria that guarantees a new way of maintenance or replacement of internal parts, since it can be made

Utilizzando un piccolo cacciavite si svita la brugola che tiene in sede la maniglia del miscelatore e la si estrae.Successivamente con la stessa operazione si allenta quella posizionata sul retro del corpo a filo sanitario per liberare completamente tutto l’involucro di FLY dalla sua sede.Con rapidità e precisione diventa possibile intervenire direttamentesul “motore” interno sostituendo la cartuccia, o, addirittura, sostituendo la “carrozzeria” stessa, qualora questa sia la necessità.

Using a small screwdriver, unscrew the Allen screw that holds the handle of the mixer and extracted it.Then the same operation is necessary to loosen the positioned one on the back of the body to completely release the casing of FLYfrom its seat. With speed and precision becomes possible to intervene directly on the internal “engine” replacing the cartridge, or, replacing the “body” itself, if that is necessary.
