Fourth of July is deadliest holiday weekend

The National Safety Council estimated that there would be 385 deaths and 41,200 injuries -- including car crashes, swimming incidents and fireworks accidents -- this Fourth of July. Last year, there were eight deaths and 11,400 injuries from fireworks mishaps alone. Research finds that the majority of deaths on and around Independence Day are from car accidents.

What are the benefits of fearing God?

q You believe in one God, You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! (James 2:19).

q “I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground” instead of using it productively (Matthew 25:25).

q The “cowardly” or “fearful” will not be in God’s kingdom. revelation 21:8
