property in this prime area, and the town of Shanghai flourished into a booming city!
-Back then, they were receiving many typhoons. Because of this, the municipal government decided to build a levee along the shoreline to protect the Bund.

take a ride through a some kind of a tube. This tube takes you to the other side of the Bund, across the river.
