Zhang He (Real name Ma He)was born in Yunnan,China. He died in Province,China in 1433.Zhang he had went on several different journeys to many parts of the world. When Zhang He was a kid he became a slave for the prince of the yongle emperor. Later in his life the prince had became emporer zhu di.He had sent Zhang to Calicut, India and many other places to establish trade and religions with other people of the world. Then Zhang He had became a fleet commander for the many ships that were going to be sent.

On his way to Calicut, India Zhang he had guided over28,000 men on over 200 ships. One of the ships that he commanded was bigger then a football field and it was over 170 feet wide. Now after zhang he’s many missions (Seven to be exact)the Chinese now have gotten bigger relationships with other countries around the world and the chinese have better trade deals with other countries then they used too.

I learned that Zhang He was an adventurous explorer who had been on seven travels and succeeded every time. And when he became captain he showed a lot of bravery because he was able to lead 28,000 men.The one thing I found very interesting about Zhang he was that he had became a slave as a kid and then became a very famous explorer and fleet captain for the chinese.Also they have a statue of him in china.
