PROFILE!• Who are One Direction and why

did we choose them? • One Direction are a British/Irish boy-band

consisting of member’s Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan. We chose them because they are our favorite band and we wanted to learn as much about them as possible!

• Harry Edward Styles, born to Anne Cox and Des Styles, was born in Holmes Chapel, England on February 1st 1994when Harry was 7 his parents

• Harry auditioned for British show, The X-Factor in 2010 singing "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. He was sent through with all yes's and one no from Louis Walsh. He went through multiple rounds, until he was kicked off at Boot camp. However, Simon Cowell believed that Harry could be brought back, and into a group. Simon then put Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles into a group. Harry thought of the name "One Direction", and they first performed "Torn" at the Judges' house in Spain.

HARRY EDWARD STYLES!

Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993), is from Wolver Hampton,, England, born three weeks early to mother Karen and father Geoff, he has two older sisters, Ruth and Nicola. Until the age of four Payne had regular tests done in hospital, doctors noticed one of his kidneys was scarred and dysfunctionalHe was a music technology student at City of Wolver Hampton College. Liam had auditioned in 2008 to The X Factor's fifth series when he was 14 and reached judges' houses, however, Simon Cowell thought he was not ready for the competition and asked him to come back in two years. Liam came back and auditioned again singing "Cry Me a River", getting a standing ovation from the audience and Simon Cowell. At boot camp, he sang "Stop Crying Your Heart Out“. Liam is currently in a relationship with dancer, Danielle Peazer.

LIAM JAMES PAYNE!

LOUIS WILLIAM TOMLINSON!

Louis was born in Doncaster in South Yorkshire. His birthday is on the 24th of December. He is 21 years old.Louis has 4 sisters : Charlotte, Félicité, and twins Daisy and Phoebe, and his parents names are Johanna and Mark. Louis was raised in Doncaster and attended the local state comprehensive school, Hall Cross School.Louis auditioned during series 7 of the X Factor in 2010. During the initial audition round Louis sang “Hey There Delilah” by The Plain White T’s. Louis Walsh, Nicole and Simon all gave Louis positive feedback for his performance.With 3 yes votes Louis went through to the Boot Camp stage. Louis was initially rejected from the series 7 of the X Factor at Boot Camp stage after singing “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele.Louis is currently dating model Eleanor Calder.

Niall was born in Mullingar in Westmeath, Ireland and is the only Irish member of One Direction. Niall Horan’s birthday is 13th September 1993. Niall has an older brother named Greg and his parents names are Maura and Bobby. Maura and Bobby divorced when Niall was 5 years old. Niall went to a Christian Brothers school in Dublin, before auditioning for Series 7 of the X factor in 2010.Niall auditioned for the seventh series of the X factor during their Dublin visit. His first performance was "So Sick" by Ne Yo which drew a mixed response from the judges. Louis Walsh liked his performance and 2 of the other judges agreed, sending Niall through to the Boot Camp stage with three yes votes out of four.

During the boot-camp rounds of The X Factor in 2010 Zayn was noted for disappearing during the dance routine as he felt nervous and uncomfortable about dancing in front of people as he said he cant dance Simon Cowell found him sitting backstage and convinced him to participate anyway because if he didn't he’d be ruining the opportunity for himself In the auditions he sang “Let Me Love You” by Mario if Zayn hadn’t auditioned for The X Factor he would have liked to do an English Degree at University in the hopes of becoming a teacherHe is currently dating singer Perrie Edwards

• One Direction have worked with many different people including Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs, The Wanted and more!

COLLABORATIONS!

• Did they have early solo career’s? Did they ever imagine being part of a boy band?

• Harry was lead singer in a band called White Eskimo before he auditioned for The X Factor the others didn’t really have solo career’s before The X Factor.

• Louis had always wanted to be part of a boy band and Harry already had experience with White Eskimo, where as Liam, Zayn, and Niall only thought of solo career’s before Simon (their mentor) gave them the opportunity to form a boy band.
