What is sound? Technically, sound is

vibrations that travel through the air, into our ears, which then sends messages to our brains, which the interprets the vibrations as sound.

There are different types of vibrations, or waves.

Fast, tight waves that we interpret as high sounds.

And slow, far apart vibrations that we think of as low sounds.
