the one you use for washing dishes, I’m talking about the ones that live underwater.
Sea sponges are animals of the Phylum Porifera.
Their bodies are consist of jelly-like mesohyl.Sea sponges have 2 cellsThey do not have a nervous, digestive or
circulatory system.
What Do Sea Sponges Eat?Some Sponges rely on maintaining a constant
water flow through their jelly-like body to get the food, oxygen and remove all the dirty wastes in their bodies.
Some other sea sponges evolve to eat crustacean
They also filter feed
How Do Sea Sponges Protect Themselves?Actually, most sea sponges heal themselves
by regenerating from pieces that has been broken off their body, it’s really fascinating !
Where Do Sea Sponges Live?Most sea sponges live in warm water such as
the Caribbean Sea and other warm watered places.
Facts About Sea SpongesSponges are unique in having some specialized
cells that can transform into other types of sponges.
Some sponges use sexual reproduction, it releases sperm cells into the water. Sponges capture the cells but instead of digesting them they transport them to the ova in the parents mesohyl.
Sea Sponges don’t have a nervous, digestive, and a circulatory system.
They have 2 cells.
