Mexico’s History 900-1500’s Ruled mostly

by Aztecs and the MayanIn 1500’s the Spanish

conquest of Mexico took place.

Moctezuma the II fought the Spaniards and was the last Aztec ruler, who died by being stoned by his own people.

Mexico's Independence from Spain 1810-1821

The Mexican Revolution 1910. the Mexican abolished the dictatorship of President Porfirio Díaz. Was in office for 31 years.

Israel’s History The people of Israel can be traced back as far Abraham,

Isaac, and Jacob from the Bible

King David 1010-970 BC founded Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In 587 BC the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem and banished the Jews to Babylon.

Jerusalem would then fall into the hands of Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine Empires, Islamic and Christian crusaders, Ottoman Empire, and the British Empire.

After WWII the British released there claim on Israel and was divided between the Israelis and the Arabs.

Conflicts in IsraelThe Palestine and

Israelite conflicts are still going on today.

They are fighting over land borders, water rights , and control of Jerusalem.

The Palestine want control of Gaza strip and West bank, were it would become its own state of “Palestine”.

Mexican Conflict A big issue right now in Mexico is Drug

cartels and Mafia. There is Marijuana, cocaine, ephedra and

many more drugs/gun trafficking in most parts of Mexico.

A lot of land is held by these vast cartels which attributes to much crime rate.

Many cartels are at “war” with each other so many armed conflicts break out between them.

Israeli culture Family and children

are a priority in Israeli culture

Unlike in the U.S families want to stay close to they're parents so they can take care of the elderly.

When near death one is to recite the Shema (prayer)

All Jews are buried in plain white shrouds

Mexican culture Extended Family is

thought to be just as important as immediate family

Celebrate “day of the dead” where they honor the dead and have festivals

Extremely Traditional

Young take care of the old by letting them live in they're house

Would I live in this Culture?Mexico

I always wanted to visit Mexico for the beaches and resorts. Maybe drink some wine with my parents because the drinking age is lowered. I don’t think I would go as far as living in Mexico due to drug cartels.

IsraelI want to visit the

city of Jerusalem and if I took the time to learn the language I might live there for a few years, but I think I would want to return to the U.S
