• “Oh Beautiful for smoggy skies, insecticided grain, For strip-mined mountain's majesty above the asphalt plain. America, America, man sheds his waste on thee, And hides the pines with billboard signs, from sea to oily sea.”

― George Carlin

• People tend to focus on the here and now. The problem is that, once global warming is something that most people can feel in the course of their daily lives, it will be too late to prevent much larger, potentially catastrophic changes.

• ELIZABETH KOLBERT, The New Yorker, Apr. 25, 2005

Global Warming– No I don’t think I’m awesome and from the streets.– I just think that its really neat. How I can rap without a

single beat. – But never mind that lets talk about the heat. – Especially global warming. And I know that it might

sound a little charming. Knowing that our cold winters are warming. But its not, its actually harming and alarming.

– Its something we can no longer hide. Knowing that our ozone is being destroyed by carbon dioxide. And its happening everyday all world wide.

– The U.S emits 6 million tons of CO2 every year alone. 40% of that from the fossil fuel energy we use at home.

• That’s why we need to use a renewable source. And hydropower is the best choice, of coarse.

• No it doesn’t have to do with a treadmill and a horse.

• It has to do with a dam and a lot of water. • That has a turbine connected to a generator• This produces hydro-electric power• And the water cycle keeps the water running. • Just like the hands on the energizer bunny.

• But it also has cons that I need to name. • Cuz the erosion patterns will never be the

same.• So we need to pre-plan so nothing will

change. • And I know some people don’t really care• That fossil fuels are polluting the air.• But we need to do something. Before our

ozone layer is no longer there.
