Chromosome 2 likely contains between 1,300 and 1,400 genes. Some of genes are MSTN, DGUOK, COL3A1, and IL1A.
MSTN deals with myostatin and DGUOK deals with deoxyguanosine kinase. Gene COL3A1 is linked to collagen type III and
gene IL1A is linked to interleukin 1. Some diseases that gene 2 deal with would be Hemochromatosis, Diamon-
Blackfan anemia, and Spastic paraplegia type 4.
Chromosome 3 contains about 1100 and 1500 genes. It contains like FOXL2 which is also known as
forkhead box and RPL35A is also known as the ribosomal protein gene. Chromosome 3 also contains SOX2 which is a gene that helps determine
sex. Chromosome 3 is linked to many
diseases, one is Noonan syndrome. Noonan syndrome is a developmental
disorder characterized by unusual facial characteristics, short stature,
heart defects, bleeding problems, and skeletal malformations.
