How He Died

John bell hood: Died of Yellow fever during the winter of 1878-79 and succumbed to the disease himself dying just ten days after his wife and oldest child ,leaving 10 destitute orphans

Symptoms –stage 1(infection) headache ,muscle and joints aches ,fever flushing , loss of appetite

Stage 2-(Remission) fever and other symptoms go away some get worse within 24hrs

Stage 3- (intoxication) problems with many organs occur this may include heart ,liver ,and kidney failure ,bleeding disorders ,seizures ,coma ,and delirium.
