Types of PlantsThere were many types of vegetation during the Jurassic Period Types of vegetation were conifers, cycads, club mosses, ferns, horsetails, and ginkoes.

During the Jurassic period; reptiles roamed the earth. The Jurassic period was known as the Age of Reptiles. Some of the reptiles were archosaurians. Archosaurians consist of modern day birds and crocadilians or known as dinosaurs. Some dinosaurs were herbivores like Brachiosaurus, Camarasauras, Apatosaurus, Diplodocus and many others. (Herbivores are vegetarians.) Another kind of dinosaurs our carnivores. Such as Ceratosaurus, Megalosaurus, Torvosaurus, and Allosaurus. (Carnivores are meat eaters.) Other animals were aquatic and marine life. Living in the seas were fish and marine reptiles. Some of the marine life were Plesiosaurs, Pliosaurs, and marine crocodiles.Last but not least, early mammals, or mammal-like reptiles. Mammal-like reptiles like Tritylodont. In the air was pterosaurs that were always up in the sky. Everywere until the late Jurassic. When Archeopteryx began to fly the skies. Archeopteryx was the first birds that evolved from coelurosaurian.Types of Animals

The Jurassic Period was Prime age for reptiles and amphibians.Also during the Jurassic Period it was the Golden age for herbivores.Then the first birds appeared during the late Jurassic period.Events!

The Jurassic period lasted from 208-144 million years ago.Pangaea was also breaking apart at a fast rate.

Interesting Facts!

During the Jurassic period Pangaea began to break apart causing the climate to go from a hot and dry climate to a humid drippy subtropical.Climate!
