BROCHURE:

BILLBOARD AD:Objective: Create a marketing plan for a company.

Process: I had chosen to redesign a marketing campaign for a local guitar shop in town. This billboard ad was one of the projects in the campaign. Because of the nature of the business the campaign was designed around the style of the font. It had to be something that was smooth and had curves to it since the business was a custom guitar and repair shop. The colors and photos were designed around the font choice.

Software: Adobe Photoshop 5.5

T-SHIRT:Objective: Create a marketing plan for a company

Process: T-shirts were added to their marketing campaign as another way to reach out to their target market at such events as concerts. It serves as an important part of their marketing campaign due to the fact that this piece of the puzzle is universal in the fact that it can be seen anywhere by anyone at anytime; it just needs to be worn. Again the same color scheme and fonts were used to keep continuity.

LETTERHEADS AND MEMO PADS:

TYPOGRAPHY PUZZLE:Objective: Create a piece using only Typography with a specific message.

Process: The first part of the process was to find message that I wanted to display then choose the font that enhanced that message, Arctik 5 was used. Then a color scheme was developed by choosing colors that would balance each other out. After that it was placed together with words that represent the message.

Software: Adobe Illustrator 6

POSTER:Objective: Create a poster for the American Typography Convention

Process: The font that was chosen to use in this design was Garamond. Since the conventions is centered around fonts I used Garamond throughout the entire piece to showcase exactly what the event was for. The color scheme was already predetermined to be no color only black and white/grayscale could be used in this piece.

BACKGROUND DESIGN:Objective: Design a background that will be used in another campaign

Process: The background was going to be used in the new children's gaming system so therefore I designed a background that they would be able to relate to. Bright vibrant colors were used to attract their attention as well as a familiar style scenery.

CHARACTER DESIGN:

Objective: To create a character for their a new product

Process: The audience was preschool children and I wanted a character that they could relate to. A cuddly cute panda bear was eventually designed to fit the companies criteria.

PACKAGE DESIGN:Objective: To design a die cut box for the clients new product.

Process: A square box was decided upon to be a little to average. I wanted the product to stand out amongst the others on the shelf. After researching many different types of packaging I decided on a triangular box. I then added the plush toy with the background and the character. With a little bit of information about the product the Die cut was complete.

WEBSITE HOMEPAGE:Objective: To redesign Vtech’s home page using all the prior elements

Process: This process started with recreating the homepage with the updated logo. I then changed the layout to emphasize the new product and added all the information that parents would need to know when searching the website.

REINVENTED LOGO:

Objective: Redesign Vtech’s logo for their new Kids line.

Process: The new concept for Vtech was geared towards their children electronic learning equipment. They wanted their logo to be updated to reflect this without creating a whole new logo. I moved the Vtech word higher in the logo so that I could add Kidz underneath for a fun inspiring new look.
