The FacilitiesSOTERIA LTD. has just acquired a new site to operate as the main facilities of theorganisation.
These facilities entail:
A number of offices to be used by affiliated experts which they can use tooffer their services from.
8 classrooms of different sizes and equipped with the latest training facilities. A practical training area including a large indoor facility equipped with the
necessary equipment for practical training of fire training, working at heightsexercises, scaffold build training and also lifting equipment training.
A retail outlet where different suppliers can promote their materials andequipment.
The core of SOTERIA LTD. is health and safety training in all levels of safety, thuswe are continually affiliating with accreditation bodies to ensure high level training toour clients that would be recognised internationally.
Core objective of Soteria Ltd.To conduct training and professional development (through class-based, e-

IOSH managing safety (class based)
Course Objective:
The aim of this course is to give managers/supervisors an understanding of how todeal with health and safety issues in the workplace, and make them aware of theirresponsibilities. It covers all major health and safety issues and provide the rightlevel of knowledge and practical experience needed to manage safely.
The learning content and theme of the course is similar to the current classroombased IOSH Managing Safely training course but is designed in such a way to besuccessfully delivered via an e-learning platform.
The course content and methodology is designed to facilitate learning andunderstanding in an engaging and pragmatic way. The course is multi faceted usingthe following techniques:
Knowledge learning via written material; links to further reference where required byspecific individual needs; reflective learning exercises; practical exercises takingstudents on step by step processes, for example risk assessments and accidentinvestigations.
Student undertaking the course are encouraged to assess their knowledge andunderstanding through a variety of media such as quizzes, case studies, mock exampapers and projects with access to online tutor support.
Ultimately we want students to finish the course and pass their exam, passrecommendations onto others to take the course with us, and look forward to doingthe refresher course in a few years time.

Research has shown that 80% of any population will suffer from at least one episodeof back pain in his/her life. You don’t have to be a stone mason to suffer a liftinginjury. Every day life requires us to lift from the most simple and light objects to theheavier cumbersome ones.
This lecture introduces the ideal posture in the upright position and during a lift. Itdiscusses various lifts that should be used in different circumstances and the riskassessment that should be carried out before the lift.
