That this House:(1) Notes the current maintenance backlog in New South Wales schools totals $775 million, including

over $8.5 million in schools across the Shellharbour electorate.

(2) Acknowledges the concerted efforts of parents, staff and students in calling on the Government to immediately address the maintenance backlog.

(3) Notes Oak Flats High School has a backlog of $1,777,498, and a further five schools within the Shellharbour electorate have a maintenance backlog exceeding $500,000.

(4) Acknowledges that at the current rate of expenditure it would take more than 18 years for the maintenance backlog at Oak Flats High School to be addressed.

(5) Condemns the Government for its inaction in addressing the maintenance needs of schools in the Shellharbour electorate.

(3) Notes that the $350,000 study was funded by the Government through the Restart NSW Fixing Country Roads program.

(4) Calls on the Government to fund the estimated $16 million for the replacement of the Cedar Party Creek Bridge.

(3) Condemns moves by the Government to increase rents for New South Wales preschools, including Parklands Community Preschool at Kariong which received a rental proposal from the Central Coast Regional Development Corporation increasing its annual rent from $1 to $65,000.

Ranges Stockman's Challenge, at Murrurundi, held from 23 to 26 February 2017.

(2) Commends Bronson on his skills in the challenge areas of stockman's gear check, packhorse and stock handling, whipcracking, bareback obstacle course, horseshoeing and cross country course.

(3) Acknowledges that the whipcracking challenge means standing on a horse and cracking two whips as part of a routine, and horseshoeing must be done from scratch in 30 minutes.

(4) Notes that the cross country challenge includes carrying a full length oilskin on the horse and a stockwhip in the hand, completing a course of approximately 2,000 metres, with 20 jumps, as close as possible to a given optimum time.

(5) Wishes Bronson all the best acknowledging that while Corryong in Victoria may have its Man from Snowy River, Armidale has its very own King of the Ranges.

(4) Calls on the Government to co-fund the feasibility study and put public transport at the heart of the Parramatta Road revitalisation.
