GREETINGS FROM THE MANAGEMENT

Dear Readers, Welcome to our second issue of our Group Newsletter. In this issue we would like to share with you our latest news and upcoming plans for the remainder of 2019.

The first 6 months of the year were a great success for our Megayacht Refit & Shipbuilding Yard, as we were happy to announce new contracts and more satisfied clients. As for our Marine Engineering & Constructions department, the Port Construction in Egypt is continuing, and we have started new and challenging projects. Our Shipyard repositioned a 490-tones crane on the deck of an OSV including numerous repairs, refits and Newbuilding projects, which will follow in the next issues. Our Towage and Salvage department continues with demanding projects on human life, cargo and vessel safety.

We further undertake that we will keep going further with trust and leading values: integrity, respect, quality and teamwork.

MARINE ENGINEERING& CONSTRUCTIONS

MarineEngineering & Constructions

Update on the construction of New Port Terminal in Northwestern EgyptThanks to the excellent spirit and cooperation from the Marine Engineering and Construction department of Spanopoulos Group, it required only 6 months to deliver a fully operation quay of 1,000 meters for the Gargoub New Port in Northwest Egypt.

For achieving the above in the desired timeframe, the operation required 3 crane barges, 2 tugboats and 3 rock supply barges, which were mobilized on site to support all the related project works.

Detached Breakwater ConstructionAfter 2 weeks from signing the contract, our Marine Engineering & Construction department commenced the works for the Roquebrune detached Breakwater project. The specific environmental conditions of the project, located on the borders of Monaco and France, required a special execution plan to be set up for the protection and respect of the environment.

The purpose of this particular project was to protect the shoreline as well as the related onshore infrastructures and buildings.
