About

Our products provide dependable and hassle–free business insurance solutions to a wide array of business classes. This includes pricing that is specifically tailored to the budget of a business owner, expedient claim service, and the expertise of one of the most trusted names in the insurance industry.

This guide will provide you with information regarding general eligibility, driver and vehicle eligibility, acceptable class codes, and available coverages.

Our business auto product is designed for commercial risks where the vehicle use is incidental to the business operations. Eligible risks include the following businesses where the vehicle is secondary to the operations:

• Contractors• Offices• Restaurants• Retail• Professional and technical services• Wholesale and manufacturing

General eligibility• Acceptable prior loss history required with no more than two

at–fault and four not at–fault accidents per policy in the last36–months

• All vehicles must have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of20,000 lbs or less

• Vehicles with a cost new of $150,000 or less• Fleet size up to 9 vehicles (larger fleets can be considered

and are submitted manually for underwriting review). Pleasecontact your Regional Sales Manager for additional details.

• Prior business auto insurance required unless there wasno need (i.e. – a new venture or the business did not haveany vehicles)

• Risks requiring state and federal filings must be reviewed byunderwriting for acceptability prior to binding

• Satisfactory commercial credit

Ineligible:• Passengers for hire• Specialized/time sensitive delivery• Transportation of hazardous, waste or explosive materials

Driver eligibility• All drivers must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and a verifiable

driving record (foreign licenses may be allowed at the discretionof underwriting)

• No excluded driver’s — all drivers must be included and rated• Satisfactory driving record is required

– Total minor violations for the policy can not exceed four – Total major violations for the policy can not exceed two – Any individual driver can not have more than two minor

violations and/or an at-fault accident or more than 1 major violation within the last 36 months

– Total at-fault accident for the policy must not exceed 2 – Total not at-fault accidents for the policy must not exceed 4 – Any individual driver must not have more than 1 at-fault

accident or more than 1 not at-fault accident in the last 36 months

Vehicle eligibility• All vehicles must have a valid 17-digit VIN (utility trailers accepted)• Fleet size up to 9 vehicles (larger fleets can be considered

and are submitted manually for underwriting review)• Operational radius up to 99 miles at least 80% of the time

Ineligible:• Vehicles classified as “special types”• Vehicles leased or rented to others

Vehicle usage• Retail — vehicles that deliver to residences• Service — vehicles that normally travel to job sites where

it is parked most of the day• Commercial — everything not service or retail
