Discussions are hybrid assignments (done online, outside class time) and be sure the topics match whats on Canvas

920 points for Assignments ( which include Assessments and discussions) weighted at 92%

135 points for daily check points weighted at 13.5%

Add the very end of the syllabus at the revision date.

Instructional Freedom

You have instructional freedom, you may instruct the course however your wish. However, you must follow the course objectives outlined in the syllabus and teach the course in accordance with its description.

As far as assignments, try to stick with the assignments we have created for you, however you have academic freedom to change them as long as you inform Elizabeth and I.

Empowerment

Remember you are the instructor and you are ultimately in charge of your class.

It is at your discretion to make exceptions to the rule (accepting late work, making extra credit) as long as its fair and appropriate.

We have one library and one registrar’s office located at main

Guest Speakers and Field Trips

Remember you need 4 field trips/guest speakers a year

For past guest speakers and field trips, please send Elizabeth and I pictures and synopsis of the field trip (purpose of trip, what happened, learning outcomes).

You’ll need a field trip request form & student release form prior to going on the field trip. Please see your associate dean for those.

Grade Change Procedures

Be sure to go over the grade change procedures outlined in the documents sent on November 3, 2015 (you can also find it in Canvas)

Professional Development Plans

There’s a new template for the PDPs (attached in Canvas)

For the results of your 2015 PDPs we need your proof of your results (copy of membership, certificates, transcripts, receipts etc.)

If you did not complete the results give us the reason why.

You must be specific when completing your PDPs

Winter Vacation is from the 19th of December to the 3rd of January (take vacation at this time)
