a. Executive Summary
Today’s millions of animals are stray, lost, or in shelters. Besides that,
the statistics of animals are being euthanized or chucked out provided by
official organizations is dreadful. Unfortunately, the numbers of homeless
animals are rising every day. Shelters today are overloaded, it cause the
problem of homeless and displaced animals increasing. More than that, to
improve the lives of animals and helps them to find a new home. We
choose to donate the money that we earned through this charity drive to
SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
In this charity drive, we learned how to start a business, team works
and solve the financial problems. In fact, we are decided to sell foods. We
have two type of food, sweet and salt. All of the foods are prepared by us.
We did not make any orders from outsides. Besides that, our products are
nuggets, sausage, pudding and marshmallows mix with cereal.
Page 3
Our products are the snacks that prepared for the students in Taylors
who haven’t have their breakfast before they went to their classes and
some sweet dessert to enjoy after their classes. In addition, our snacks are
attractive looking and provide a simple and nice packaging.
Our implementation plan for this charity drive of our foods is both
cost effective and efficient. We purchased all the materials from the
supermarket during they have some promotions for the groceries. In fact,
we estimated our start-up time; we bought all the materials before the
weeks of the charity drive. We wake up in the early morning every day to
fried all the nuggets and sausage. We also prepared the pudding and
marshmallows before the day we want to sell it.
Lastly, we have finished sold the food that we prepared and we are
almost hitting target. Due to we don’t have enough materials so we found
some sponsors from families and friends to reach the target.

b. Objective
After our discussion, we have decided to donate our profit to SPCA
(Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). This organization aims to
help the animals. It is a temporary shelter for lost, abandoned and
unwanted animals. We have chosen this organization because they help to
maintain the relationship between animals and human.
In this charity drive, we need to raise at least RM 2000 for SPCA. We
decide to sell marshmallow cereal bars, marshmallows, different types of
puddings, and some snacks, like nugget, sausage. We will also find some
sponsorship to help us reduce some cost.

c. Target Market
The location of targeting our main target market is focusing in
Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. Firstly, the starting point of our
business is aimed at students whom aged between 18 to 24 years old.
Besides that, staffs that working at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus that
aged between 25 to 45 years old are our target as well.
Other than that, our products are suitable for all religions because it
is all halal. For the vegetarians, we have puddings and marshmallow mix

better families background they would do donation for SPCA.

d. Competition Analysis
Competitions are seen everywhere even in the school business
charity drive. Everyone would like to be outstanding and earn more profits
to donate to their respective charity organizations.
A competition would lead to two different types of outcomes. Either
the group becomes more motivated to become better than the others or
they just, give up. But on the contrary, we managed to hit our target with
some tough competition on the way.
There were these two groups that we think that were doing better
than us.

i. Distribution
The products that we sell are marshmallow cereal bar, marshmallow,
puddings, nuggets and sausages. All these products are done by ourselves
to reduce the costs. Yvonne’s marshmallow cereal bar and Shun Qi’s
pudding are done on weekend. However, Sherny and Wendy will fry their
sausage and nugget every morning during our charity drive event.
Every morning of the charity drive event, we will bring our products
from our house and start to prepare. Sherny and Wendy will bring their
sausages and nuggets by Taylor’s bus while Shun Qi will bring a cool box
filled with puddings and walk to campus. Yvonne brings a bag of
marshmallow cereal bar from her dorm.
Everyday the products are ready early in the morning, so the
customer won’t need to wait for our products. The customer can approach
our booth to buy our products. We will also walk around the campus to sell
our products. It will be more convenient for the customer to buy our
products. This can also increase our sale per day. As our products are all
foods, so the customers won’t be able to order our products online

j. Green Measures
Nowadays people are really concerned of green measures
especially in business world. The advantages of reducing the materials
we used are that we can reduce global warming and carbon footpirnts.
Our product packagings are plastic bags and polyfoam cups. These
two materials are not environmentally-friendly. To reduce these
materials to save our world, we decided to change our ways of serving
our food to our customers.
Page 16
k. Human Resource Planning
This page of the report is the report of Human Resource. There are 4
students in our group, who are Yvonne Chin, Liong Shun Qi, Wendy Liew
and Sherny Liong. 4 of us are the only students who in charge in the stall
that sell several of snacks and foods. In this charity drive, we tend to find
customers to buy our products, then the money we have earned will 100%
donate to the SOCIETY PREVENTION of CRUELTY to ANIMAL (SPCA).
In this event, the division of labour is a must, so we put four people
divided into two teams, and the two teams have two different jobs. Team A
will be Yvonne and Shun Qi, they are serving sweet dessert/snacks which
are marshmallow cereal bar and several flavors of puddings, while for Team
B will be Wendy and Sherny, they are serving salty food such as nuggets and
sausages.
In that one week's time for running the event, our responsibilities for
this charity drive are basically the same. It says the first division of the work
above, and the second different work is that Team A will be responsible for
monitoring the stalls, while for Team B would have walked around the
campus to promote our products, Team B would have to come back to the
stall and help out in the stall for half an hours, then after half an hours
Page 17
they'll need to go out and walked around the campus to promote their
product again.

RM1349 as incomes. Besides that, we also received RM100 of donation
and RM 850 of sponsorships. At last, we had donated RM 2000 to SPCA.
Page 19
(c) Reflection on what have we done right and wrong?
On the first day of the charity drive, we find that most of the
people will buy our sausages and nuggets during lunch time, so from
the second day, we raise our price of sausages and nuggets to RM 5.
The customer still willing to buy our products and this prove that this
price is still acceptable to them.
As for what we did wrong, all of us have put in all efforts in our
charity drive and we feel stastisfied on our results. However, we have
received several negative feedbacks from customers who just ignore
us or even insult our products. This really makes us very sad. But, we
really understand that because we also do that when the others
promote their products to us.
(d) If we can repeat the event one more time, we will sell more different
and delicious food to attract more customers. We hope that we can
get more money to donate to SPCA.
