End Of Year BusyshyNessTeachers are now busily engaged in a range of timeconsuming endshyofshyyear tasks to ensure that the beginningof 2016 is smooth As well as report writing staffmembers are forming classes organising events andplanning programs for the year ahead ndash this is amammoth task Requests for specific placements for nextyear can no longer be accepted
PampCLast nightrsquos PampC meeting was another opportunity forparents to come together and join in the significantcontributions the parent body makes towards schoolprograms and initiatives I would like to thank the PampC onbehalf of the staff and students for its generouscommitment of $50000 to subsidise the schoolrsquos coststowards maintenance of ICTs This money will update 10interactive whiteboards with interactive projects I amlooking forward to seeing even more parents at the AGMon December 2nd
Enrichment amp ExtensionIn 2016 we will be making some changes to the way inwhich our most capable students are supported in thepursuit of academic excellence The modifications whichyou can read about here are inspired by Departmentalpolicy but are more importantly grounded in what I firmlybelieve as school principal to be in the best educationalinterests of all students throughout the school
The Bush PatchSince the community working bee of October 24th GregPalisi our general assistant and Dave Kelleher a willingand giving parent have continued to work on thevegetable garden area in B block The garden is coming

We Will Remember ThemYesterday a small service was held at the school inremembrance of the combined efforts of all Australianarmed forces throughout our nationrsquos history of war andpeace time operations It was a fitting tribute to theselflessness pride mateship and courage continuallydisplayed by the men and women who serve in ourdefence forces Our school captains Peyton and Aaronjoined me at the Roseville RSL ceremony where they laid awreath on behalf of the school and community
