EDT FISH BITES The Marlins take on the St. Louis Cardinals tonight at 7:15 EDT for game two of their three-game set at Busch Stadium. Left-hander Brad Hand, who is making his third straight start since being inserted into the rotation, gets the nod for his first career start and second appearance against St. Louis; his lone outing against the Cards came earlier this season on June 24 at Marlins Park, when he allowed one run on three hits in 0.1 inning in relief. St. Louis will counter with right- hander John Lackey, who has just one start against the Marlins in his 14-year career; that was a no-decision on June 18, 2005 at Angel Stadium in a 2-1 win for the Halos (6.2 ip, 6 h, r, er, 3 bb, 7 so). Following this weekend series, the Marlins will head north to Milwaukee for a three-game set against the Brewers. Miami enters this trip following a brief two-game homestand that saw the Marlins sweep the Red Sox. VS. THE CARDINALS Miami looks to snap a five-game losing streak against the Cardinals. The Marlins are 0-4 against the Redbirds this sea- son, suffering a sweep at Marlins Park from June 23-25.
