PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
The 132 members of the class of 19651 offer this annual or yearbook to their • parents, friends, and faculty members ' as a concentrated pictorial capsule of the class groups, classes in action,
. co-curricular or extra curricular activities, and other aspects of the school program and school life here
at Burley. In re-capturing and presenting these various facets of school life, the class members, their sponsors and other interested persons hope to contribute their share toward building good public relations and presenting to the
· public a positive image of the school. As an institution working toward the building of men and women, and focusing constant attention on the development of worthy citizens, Burley stands in the forefront as a helpful agency - even a mighty force congealing the discordant elements of personality, or polishing these rough stones of potentialities into priceless gems of character, successful workers, and enterprising college students. May these threads or strands for the development of the good society have endless continuity and may this class of 1965 reach the mountain top of their many noble aspirations .
7
Seniors, "Congratulations on your graduation.
May your hopes and dreams be realized this year to the fullest degree ; and in the years to come may your names reflect honor and dignity upon this school and the community of which you are a vital part . "
S. F. Griffin, Assistant Principal.
"Remembrance and reflections how allied!" Pope
Mrs. Zelda H. Murray, Secretary.

"Of all the inanimate objects , of all men 's creations, books are the nearest to us, for they contain our very thoughs , our ambitions , our indignations, our illusions, our fidelity to truth, and our persistent leaning toward error . But most of all they resemble us in their precarious hold on life. "

ODE TO BURLEY Majestically among the hills 'Neath God's great azure sky, Stands proudly with its arms out-
stretched Our own dear Burley High. Within thy walls , 0 sacred one Is found a guiding light; The enchantment of thy tender care, Forever beaming bright.
CHORUS 0 Burley High, dear Burley High, Our pride shall ever be Our songs of love and joy we sing, With kindest thoughts of thee . With faithful hearts and thoughtful
minds We pledge our loyalty . To God and Thee we will e'er be true, Oh hail to dear Burley High!
