    BERT

    To our Dear

    Friends,

    If

    you,

    O Lord, kept a record

of sins, O Lord, who could

stand? But with you there is

    forgiveness;

    therefore

    you

    are feared. O Israel,

    put

    your

    hope

    in the Lord, for

    with the Lord is

    unfailing

    love a nd

The Lord did redeem us from

    all our

    sins

    through His Son.

    Jesus,

    whose

    birth

    we have

    just celebrated. By sending

    Jesus, who grew to

    be

    a man,

    an

    innocent

    man who was

    killed

    on

t he c ross for our sins,

    and

    whom God raised

    from

    the

dead, we can have our sins

    forgiven No matter how

    great

or small the sin, God s grace,

shown through His Son, is big

    enough to

    forgive it.

    How

    wonderful to know His grace

    and

    to be

    a

    recipient of

    it His

    grace is shown to

    us

    in so

    many ways - forgiveness daily

    for all

    confessed

    sin,

    wisdom

given to us as we walk in this

    life,

    peace,

    comfort, provision

    for

    our

    needs,

    and

    godliness.

    Praise God for

    the

    Holy Spirit

    He gives to us to

    help

    us walk

in that grace and to reap its

    This is very vital,

    as

    this

    is w here our

    their decisions,

    and

    They

    in

    and not many referrals

    Other exciting news is that

    Norman Paat, who graduated

    last March as an electrician

    and has been in

    the

    Home

    since he was

    four years old, is

    getting married in January

    Norman has been doing con

    at

    the Campground in

    Cebu, and also holding activi

t ies and devot ions with

    the

young people in that area. He

    has found a

    special

    young lady

    and we

    ask

    that you pray for

    them

    as

    they

    start

    AGTA MINISTRY

    The

    the

    boarding houses

    and

    children

    continue to be taught

    CHANGE OF

    PLANS

    The September 11 terrorist

    attacks have brought about

    some changes

    in activities this

    year. Several groups that

    Prayers

    come

    to visit

    and serve on

    a

    yearly or bi-yearly basis have

    cancel led due

    to

    th e

    uncer

tainty of things. We have not

been in danger or threatened in

    our

    areas of

work, bu t the re a re

    known terrorist

    organizations

    operating in

    the

    Philippines.

    The

    terrorist

    at tacks

    have also

    affected

    the

    economy, but we

    pra ise God

    that

    you, His peo

    ple, con tinue to

    be

    faithful in

    your support of this ministry.

    have

    been

    AGTA

    CONVENTION

    The Agta

    Christian Conven

    tion will

    be

    held during the

    summer.

    Many children who

    have received help to

    attend

school are now old enough to

    take part in leadership roles

    and

    help

    with

    this

    convention,

    a s well

    a s

    the

    Vacat ion

    Bible

    schools held in different vil

    lages. It is

    our desire that

    through academic knowledge

these children will grow to be

com e the leaders of their

    communities, to

    be able

    to

    get

    jobs

    and support themselves,

    and most importantly become

    leaders in

    the

    Agta churches.

We a re t hankfu l for the leaders

    we

    have,

    both

    llocano

    and

    Agta, but pray for

    the day

    when

    all their

    preachers

    can be Agta.

    They

    has

    been

    a steady and firm

    foundation for us. They have

    faithfully

    backed us spiritually

    -and financially since they first

    sent

    me to

    the

    Philippines in

1977. We thank the Lord fo r all

    of

    them.

    TO ALL O F YOU

    Thank

    you

    much for your

    faithful support for the Home

    also

    for

our family. May the Lord con

tinue to bless all of you

    as

    you

    continue

    to bless His work

    through your prayers and

    sup

    in

    th e

    family of God

    and have

    a

    God

    that

    we can depend on

    and whose

In doing God s work here in the

    the

    that

    will hold us together. It

is the heart of God impressed

    in

    our

    hearts,

    and

    so It gives

    us

the passion and vision for the

    Lord s ministry. Everything will

    hold no meaning when

    done

    by

    mere human

    so we str ive

to do all things in the power of

    The enemy

    con

    to hurl stumbling blocks,

    doubts,

    and

    disunity

    among

    us,

    but

    Satan

    is

    powerless

    before

    God. It is

    our

    hope to con

stantly be reminded of God s

    all

    of

    us, that

    our. . .

    is evil;

    cling to what

    is

    good.

    Be

    devoted to one a n

    above

    yourselves.

    Never be lacking

    in

    but

    keep

    your

    serving

    the

    Lord.

    Be joyful

    in hope,

    patient

    in

    faithful

    in prayer. Romansi2:9 i2

We ask you to continue praying

for us. Pray for more faith and
