Summer Camp is a great opportunity for

students of all ages to grow in their faith.

Towne South believes in the power of camp so

much that we pay $50 per student to go! We

send students to two different Christian camps:

Roanoke Christian Camp in Washington, NC and

Camp Rudolph in Yale, Va. Both camps offer dates for elementary, middle and

high school students during June, July and August. We are recommending that

our high school kids, ages 14-17, attend the July 15-20 camp session. For kids

ages 11-14, we recommend the June 17-22 camp session; and for kids ages 10-

13, we recommend the July 22-27 camp session. For elementary age kids, we

are recommending the June 10-15 camp session. All recommended sessions are

being held at Roanoke Christian Camp. Complete information and

registration is available at tscoc.com/summer-camp. Pick up a Summer Camp

card at The Hub that has the $50 promo code you will need when you register

online. For questions, contact either Sissy (elementary) at [email protected] or

Corbin (middle/high school) at [email protected].

FIRST TIME GUESTS

NIGHT OF MUSICAL WORSHIP AND PRAYER

Our Elders: Mike Baker • Brad Giffin • Bill Griffin • Rod Sershen (Chair)

Bob Smith • Jonathan Snoots • Jeff Wood

FINAL REHEARSAL Wednesday, May

9th at 6 PM! Our kids have done an

amazing job preparing for their special

presentation on Mother’s Day, May 13th!

So that we are READY for that day, we

need all kids participating, especially

those with solos, at the FINAL REHEARSAL

on Wednesday, May 9th at 6 PM in the

Main Auditorium. This will allow for the

kids to practice with mics and get their

places marked out. You may pick them up

at 6:45 PM following the rehearsal, or at 7:30 PM, which is after our lesson time.

The children will share their Mother’s Day presentation for the opening of BOTH

services! On the actual day, Sunday, May 13th

, we need all participants here

no later than 8:25 AM, to be ready to open the 1st

service. The children will be

singing for both services, so they need to stay through Mid JAM (Sunday School)

and long enough to sing for the opening in the 2nd

service. After this, they are

free to leave, if needed. The children have worked hard on this and it will be a

BLESSING to everyone, especially MOMs! Any questions, please see Sissy,

contact [email protected], or text 619-2592. Please note: we do have quite a

few children that haven’t been to the rehearsals; and therefore, do not know

the songs. I will not put these children in an awkward and possibly

embarrassing situation; so they will have an activity in the classroom with

another teacher until we get back and resume our class time together.

RIDE THE TOWNE SOUTH BUS TO SEE TOBY MAC IN CONCERT!

All Towne South senior saints are

invited to attend Seniors by the Sea

on Tuesday, June 5. This is a day

set apart to celebrate and honor

senior members of area churches.

All festivities for this event, themed

“The Best is Yet to Come,” will be held on the campus of MACU with registration

and a continental breakfast beginning at 8:45 AM. Ben Cachiaras, Senior Minister

of Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, MD will be keynote speaker. There will

also be great worship, great workshops and a great lunch catered by our own Ed

Griffin! The cost is $20 per person. Sign up at The Hub today!

SAVE THE DATE! Please plan on

joining us for a night of musical

worship and prayer on Saturday, June

16 at 6 PM. This will be a great evening

of fellowship over a meal, musical

worship, and prayer. All funds raised through this event will support our high

school students as they travel to Cleveland, TN July 2-7 to attend the Christ in

Youth Move Conference. (Information about this conference can be found on the

reverse under “Student Ministry.”)

DISCOVERING THE TRUTH SERMON SERIES

Today’s message will be the final

sermon in Brad’s current five-part series

on “Discovering the Truth.” Today, we

will explore the “Truth about Eternity.” If

you missed any of the previous

sermons of this series, you can view

them on our website at tscoc.com/

media/sunday-morning-videos . The messages are also available as podcasts in

ITunes. Just look for the TS logo!

TODAY HAS BEEN DESIGNATED “DECISION SUNDAY.” Maybe

you have been considering for a good while your next step—

whether it be your initial acceptance of Christ as Lord and

Savior, or placing your church membership at Towne South.

We hope that this special day will be your day to make that

step!

SAY CHEESE! Next Sunday, May 13, we decided to

honor all of our moms with a free photo booth so

they could take pictures with their entire families!

Towne South’s own, Katie Anderson, will be

available before and after both services to capture

a special remembrance photo of Mother’s Day

2018 for your memory book! Afterwards, the

photos will be posted on Towne South’s Facebook

page for your easy download. A church-wide email will be sent to let you know

when your photos are ready.

Towne South ladies are invited to the Area Ladies

Fellowship Meeting being held at South Mills

Church of Christ on Monday, June 4, 2018 at

7:00 PM. The cost for dinner is $5.00 and an

offering will be taken. Concert by Servant’s

Song. Y’all Come: For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good

things. (Psalm 107:9) Lou Godfrey will leave at 6:15 PM from the parking area

beside Heritage Hall at MACU should you desire to ride with her.

Toby Mac will be in concert at the

Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo

on Wednesday, June 27th! General

seating tickets for the park's lawn are

$25/person (children under 2 are FREE).

If 20 or more register, group rate tickets

are $20/person. A small fee of $5 will be

added for transportation on the TSCOC bus. Take a lawn chair or blanket for seat-

ing at the event. Gates open for “first come, first serve seating” at 6 PM. The

bus will leave TSCOC at 4:00 PM to allow for stop on the way for a fast food meal.

(Bring extra money for meal.) Sign up at The HUB no later than Sunday, May

27th! Payment is due by May 27th. Checks should be payable to Towne South

Church of Christ with notation “Toby Mac Concert” .
