Sunday May 25 ~ 6th Sunday of Easter Scripture Then they laid hands on them and they received
the Holy Spirit. (Acts 8:17) Say to God, "How tremendous are your deeds!
(Psalm 66:3) Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life
in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18) ...and he will give you an Advocate to be with
you always, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows him. But you know him, because he re-mains with you, and will be in you. (John 14:6,7)
Reflection How do you experience God in your life? How do you give witness to God? Why can’t the world accept God who is the
“Spirit of Truth”? When does the “Spirit of Truth” live in you and
through you? To come to possess all desire to possess nothing. To arrive at being all desire to be nothing. The soul that journeys to God but does not shake off its cares and quiet its appetites is like one who drags a cart uphill. 1
