PLN isn’t limited to blogging or tweeting, although this is what we might think of
as the largest PLN platforms.

PLNs are ways to Get & Share◎Information◎Content◎Questions◎Opinions◎Resources◎Tools
“Very importantly it is a way to connect with other educators or like-minded individuals. A PLN
can become a network of people and of information that you can use to educate inspire yourself
and others.

With the increase access of information, it is up to us as individuals to go out and seek our own PLNs. Here I will provide you with some places and tools that you can use, but there are many more out there.
Build Your Connections & Grow Your Network
This is an on-going undertaking, a way of life-learning that will inform your practice of educating and being educated.
The key here is to ask yourself several key questions:
◎What is my main interest?◎What kind of information am I
looking for?◎Do I want to be a creator of
content or just a curator of content?
◎When I find people to interact with, how do I make sure they are reliable sources?

Once you are ready, you must then think about:
◎How are you planning to get your information?
◎How will you share with others?
◎How do you plan to connect?
TwitterOne of the best places to start is Twitter.The key here is finding the right people to follow. Stay current on your particular topic, and connect and ask question.
Blogging (and commenting on other people’s blogs) is a great space to share your thoughts, reactions, resources, and information.
