QUALIFICATION AND RECOGNITION

COURSE CONTENT

• Introduction to personal and workshop safety and first aid• Electrical Act 1990• Electrical Regulation 1994 and IEE-16th edition• First aid treatment• Basic electricity• Type, usage and cable selection• Type of testing and testing equipment• Electrical testing measurement• Single phase switch gear and distribution board• Circuit protection and usage

• Malaysian citizen• Physically fit• Literate• Minimum have sat for the SPM examination or equivalent• Age 17–35 years old for Youth Programme• Age 18–55 years old for Construction Personnel Programme• Possessed a valid Construction Personnel Registration Card and 6 months minimum experience in related field for Construction Personnel Programme• Working experience of 3 years or more (with Energy Commission-registered electrical contractor)• Has a logbook of previous electrical works

Trainee who successfully complete the training and passed the assessment will be awarded Chargeman (AO) Competency Certificate by The Energy Commission (EC). EC has the right to determine the registration requirement.
