How 87 Hours of Gameplay Translates into the Actions of my Character and the Environment Around Him.

The trials and chaos surrounding Skyrim rests upon the helm of my charac-ter, Suhayb the Dovakiin or Dragon Slayer.

And while the cities and the 9 major holds are in disarray and panic sweeps the streets, the hero cannot save those unless he stays healthy and get an adequate day’s rest.

In this section, we’ll take a look at some of the more mundane time wasters in Skyrim.

Off Time.

“I USED TO BE AN ADVENTURER.”

33% of Time: Bartering.

*Often times having to travel far for a quick buck and cool items.

*Could Be from Skill Books, fighting countless enemies, or through questing and plundering dungeons.

28% of Time: Increasing Skills

This Character Mapping will showcase the most impor-tant aspects of each of the three categories listed in each circle:

Blue is MentalRed is Physical/SpiritualGreen is Overview and Crime.

Each circle has it’s own set of time guzzling tasks and other counters that isn’t necessarily known to be recorded.

Another View: One could look at these charts separately to see how each category could stack up against 87 hours of play. Although that could be done, each category is working in tandem with each other (except crime, that was done on an entirely different save) and should be measured accordingly.

Other Mental Time Wasters:8% Reading Books6% Reading Skill Books7% Training Spells 5% Persuading Others for Gain

Other Phys/Spirit Time Wasters:17% Killing Animals (no PETA they’re not real.)17% Using “destruction technique” spells.13% Shouting at Enemies, Dragons, Townspeople.

Other/Crime Time Wasters:5% Paying Fines12% Assaulting People10% Chest Plundering

100% of the Time: In Conversation with the Character.

In almost every instance of a person playing an RPG, They will recount the number of times they have tried to hold conversations with their own character or the NPC’s around them.

33% of Time: Killing People.

*Through Quests, Raiders, Pirates, other mongrels - We gotta kill them all with the only way we know how.

47% of Time: Placing Bounties on my Head for Crime

20% Accruing Gold.

*Need it, Can’t Live Without it, might need to kill for it. Good ol’ Gold.

*I have a total of 150,000 gold pieces as a bounty for my head through the 9 holds.

TIME can be WASTED, and is often wasted doing the very things we enjoy. SKYRIM Has proven that yet again, RPG games are the pinnacle of time guzzling activity that while

cycle the mundane, shines bright in the face of more important things we could be doing.

Constructing the Idea:

This Infographic was created to breakdown how my 87 hour play-through of Skyrim is categorized in the actions of my character and the environment.

In this case, I am using my data to display some of the most common mechanics and underrepresented aspects of the game within the 87 hours of gametime.
