Some Notes on Formatting● Fonts: Footed, Not too small, Shoot

for two● Colors: Depends on the field, Use

only to highlight● Headings: Can be larger font,

different font, different color, etc. *Also, set them off by bolding, underlining *Also, rearrange their order according to what is appropriate for your application

A Word about Wording● Avoid using full sentences and

the word “I”● Describe your activities using

active verbs (see handout)● If currently engaged in

activity, use present tense● If no longer engaged in

activity, use past tense● Bring in data & details where

possible● Polish the resume!
