BUGERA BC15 REMOVING TUBE All you need is a Phillips screwdriver #2. Set the UNPLUGGED unit on its' face, handle towards you. Remove the four black screws on that secure the black amplifier assembly into the wooden frame (inside, along the sides). Now loosen the four chrome plated screws that are not part of the corner guards or handle. They have raised little aluminum collars beneath them. Now you will be able to gently work the amplifier assembly out, being sure not to yank on the speaker wires. Access to the tube is from the side, beneath the Input jack, and a spring holds it in place. Most bad tubes won't glow; the filament is fragile, and wears out over time. Good luck! Also, beware that tube amps will hold a significant charge long after the have been unplugged. Sonds like this only has a tube in the preamp stage, but be careful! I had been wondering this as well since the manual makes no mention . But , it seems that the amp chassis needs to be dropped to access the tube . There are 4 screws on tabs that drop from the chassis itself, inside the cab. . As well , it may be necessary to take out the 2 screws that line up with the chassis that are in the Tolex covering . Obviously , make sure the amp is unplugged before starting any of this . Hope this helps . Might call Bugera cust svc too . LMK . Im curious too . Why? You shouldn't need to do that, if so im sure it's not difficult or you could take to music tech. I turn mine up to 10 and no problems, except needing ear plugs, lol.
