Two sample unions Checked, the Postal Employes Federal Credit Union and the Buffalo Penn-Central Federal Credit Union, both said that they make loans for recreational vehicles. Loans from Liberty Paul J. Schlageter of the Liberty National Bank & Trust Co. said that the bank makes personal loans for purchases in the field. He said that Liberty is also involved in financing pur- chases through dealers. In explaining the differences In the field, he said that by law, a personal loan cannot be made for more than three years, but that financing through the dealers on a retail installment contract can be paid back over five years, since a chattel mort- gage is attached, as Is done in the case of an auto purchase. One of the smaller area banks, the Lincoln National Bank, "welcomes any customer to come in and enquire" about borrowing for a recreational purchase. Personal Basil A spokesman for the Manu- facturers & Traders Trust Co. said that as far as a rec- reational vehicle loan is con- cerned, "We treat it just like any personal loan." As with most other banks it is based on credit and restricted to a three- year term. An executive of the Western Savings Bank said that his bank does not make vehicle loans in this area because he believes that it is contrary to the state law governing savings banks. He shared this point of view with the First Federal Savings & Loan. Vehicles Used 5 Weeks Yearly Responses show the median use of a recreational vehicle is nearly five weeks a year, About one-fourth of the owners use their vehicle lets than oat month, while another one-fourth use it more than three months. The median miles travelled with their recreational vehicle in 1968 is Just under 3,400 miles. Almost an equal number travel each of the distances 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 3000, 6000, miles, with those travelling 2,000-3,000 and 3,0004,000 being a few more owners than travel- ltd in tfie other categories. James J. Harrigan, county commissioner of parks and rec- reation, said that the new park will be open April 15 with the permanent sanitary facilities ready to support the campsites. Sprague Brook is located on the town line between Sardinia and Concord with the entrance on Foote Rd. It is south of the Kiss- ing Bridge ski area. Opening Delayed The park was originally sched- uled to open in its entirety in 1969, but a combination of bad weather and a lengthy construc- tion strike pushed opening of the campsites into this year. In addition to the campsites, the park contains picnic groves some of which are in use, al- though not completed last year. Plans call for the addition of snowmobile trails, a wildlife area with deer and geese and two trout-stocked ponds for fish- ing. Three State Parka The Niagara Frontier State Parks Commission, the regional state authority governing parks on the Niagara Frontier, has three widely separated camping areas a v a i l a b l e : Four Mile Creek State Park, Evangola State Park and Golden Hill State Park. All open May 15. Largest of the three state campsites is at Four Mile Creek, located off Robert Moses Park- way and Route 18. This park, three miles from Youngstown, is on Lake Ontario and has a beach with lifeguards. The beach is limited to camper use. There are currently 265 de- veloped sites in the park. A full range of permanent sanitary fa- cilities is located in the camp- ing area. "Rough Camping* A new camping area is open- ing with 50 sites at Golden Hiu, located on Lake Ontario at the Niagara - Orleans counties line near Somerset. ~ According to the commission, this park is set up for "rough camping." The support facilities for campers do not include showers. Evangola State Park, located on the Evans-Brant town line near the Village of Farnham, lias 40 campsites and a full range of permanent sanitary fa- cilities. 4.000-foot Beach The main feature of Evangola is a 4,000-foot sand beach and three bathhouses. There are also picnic groves located around the area of the park. Gov. Rockefeller, in the new proposed budget, is asking the State Legislature for $250,000 for campsites at Evangola in the former YMC\ camp "Forty Acres." Niagara Frontier State Parks have a standard charge for camping: 12 per night and $2,50 with electricity. The commission will not accept requests for reservations for a period of less than seven days. The maximum stay will be 14 days. Checks for the full amount must accompany all reservations. Map locates public camp sites

County to Open

By MICHAEL DESMOND The coming of spring is going

to bring another 27 sites on which campers can park their tents, campers or travel trailers when Erie County opens a camp­ing site at Sprague Brook Park.

James J. Harrigan, county commissioner of parks and rec­reation, said that the new park will be open April 15 with the permanent sanitary facilities ready to support the campsites. Sprague Brook is located on the town line between Sardinia and Concord with the entrance on Foote Rd. It is south of the Kiss­ing Bridge ski area. Opening Delayed

The park was originally sched­uled to open in its entirety in 1969, but a combination of bad weather and a lengthy construc­tion strike pushed opening of the campsites into this year.

In addition to the campsites, the park contains picnic groves some of which are in use, al­though not completed last year. Plans call for the addition of snowmobile trails, a wildlife area with deer and geese and two trout-stocked ponds for fish­ing. Three State Parka

The Niagara Frontier State Parks Commission, the regional state authority governing parks on the Niagara Frontier, has three widely separated camping areas a v a i l a b l e : Four Mile Creek State Park, Evangola State Park and Golden Hill State Park. All open May 15.

Largest of the three state campsites is at Four Mile Creek, located off Robert Moses Park­way and Route 18. This park, three miles from Youngstown, is on Lake Ontario and has a beach with lifeguards. The beach is limited to camper use.

There are currently 265 de­veloped sites in the park. A full range of permanent sanitary fa­cilities is located in the camp­ing area. "Rough Camping*

A new camping area is open­ing with 50 sites at Golden Hiu, located on Lake Ontario at the Niagara - Orleans counties line near Somerset. ~

According to the commission, this park is set up for "rough camping." The support facilities for campers do not include showers.

Evangola State Park, located on the Evans-Brant town line near the Village of Farnham,

lias 40 campsites and a full range of permanent sanitary fa­cilities. 4.000-foot Beach

The main feature of Evangola is a 4,000-foot sand beach and three bathhouses. There are also picnic groves located around the area of the park.

Gov. Rockefeller, in the new proposed budget, is asking the State Legislature for $250,000 for campsites at Evangola in the former YMC\ camp "Forty Acres."

Niagara Frontier State Parks have a standard charge for camping: 12 per night and $2,50 with electricity. The commission will not accept requests for reservations for a period of less than seven days. The maximum

stay will be 14 days. Checks for the full amount must accompany all reservations.
