On behalf of the Pan American Judo Confederation, receive the most cordial welcome to the Pan

American Open, which will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This important competition of the calendar of the International Judo Federation will contribute to

the formation of the higher ranking and will be the last chance to award points for qualifying for the

Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

I take this opportunity to express my personal thanks for the support given to us by the task force of

the Argentinean Argentina Judo Confederation and its President, Mtro. Oscar O. Cassinerio.

The Pan American Judo Confederation wishes good luck to all the competitors and lots of

achievements and satisfaction for all of you.

OPEN PAN-AMERICAN BUENOS AIRES 2016 and Training Camp from March 14th to March

Competition System:

The Tournament will be conducted according to the rules and the IJF sporting code, the

repechage will be applied in the last 8 competitors, the top eight competitors in the world

rankings will be separated in the draw.

Participation:

Each country may enter a maximum of four competitors per weight category.

Judoguis:

Judogi blue and white will be mandatory for every competitor. Judoguis control is done

according to the rules approved by Sokuteki la FIJ since January 1, 2009.

Doping Control:

The gold medal winner and one of the key medalist in each category will participate in doping

control.

REFEREES:

Referees must be licensed by the International the International Judo Federation, Class "A" or

"B"

Referee Clinic:Friday at 19:00. Hotel NH - 9 de Julio Saln P.B.

Registration:

a) First registration February 12, 2016 CAJ form

b) Hotel Reservation February 12, 2016 CAJ form

Note:Very important note, hiring accommodation and food is for a minimum period

of three days, cannot be partialize, meaning that the minimum stay is 3 three days.

The C.P.J. charges a registration of U $ S 20.00. (USD) twenty per competitor and official.

To optimize your accommodation and stay is important that we bring the number of athletesand members of the delegation before February 19 NO EXCEPTIONS.

By order of the International Federation all current members of the accredited

delegations should stay through the Organizing Committee for the shortest time

quoted.

ENTIRE PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF ACCREDITATION IN

CASH (DOLLARS) WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS, CREDIT CARDS,

TRAVELERS CHECKS OR CERTIFICATES OF TRANSFER OF ANY KIND

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Organizing Committee will provide medical services during the competition, however if

a member of a delegation requires hospital treatment and surgery while in Argentina, each

delegation will be responsible for covering these costs. Therefore the OC is excluded from

liability for these effects

JUDOGI AND PROTOCOL

In all formal training, awards and ceremonies from start to the end of the

tournament, the judokas must be presented with WHITE yudogui, no socks, jackets oraccessories.

For foot hygiene, the judoka must wear shoes while moving through the warm-up

area.

Female contestants must wear under the jacket of the Judogi, a plain white mesh or

resistant fabric short-sleeved shirt long enough to insert into the pants. Shirt or mesh

should be round neck and may have no visible marks or drawings.

The male and female hair should not touch the jacket lapel The Judoguis must be

clean and with IJF rules adjusted measures. Sokuteiki will be used in the Stand By

area.

Failure to observe these rules could mean disqualification from the tournament

TECHNICAL DIRECTION

The code behavior of the coaches will be strictly observed, including dress code. For

this event that will be suit and tie or sports uniform of their delegation. Coaches cannot give indications to competitors while they are fighting. Only during

pauses MATE coaches will be permitted to give instructions to their athletes. After the

break and continued fighting, coaches must remain silent again.

If a coach does not respect these rules, can be expelled from the competition area. If

the coach persists in its behavior from outside the competition area it may be

penalized and expelled from the sports arena.

Training times must be requested at the time of arrival and accreditation Each official

hotel will have a training area.

INTERNAL GROUND TRANSPORTATION

The organizers will provide delegations free of charge, transport between the

International Airport Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) to the point of accreditation and from

official hotels to where the planned activities are carried out for the tournament.

The organization is not responsible for transportation if the flight itineraryinformation is not made on time, or modified without notice, neither for activities

outside the championships

ACCREDITATIONS

Accreditation and handing of credentials will take place on Friday March 11, at the NH

- 9 de Julio, PB The head of delegation of each country should be presented in time to

prove the arrival of all athletes and delegates hotel. At that time will also pay twenty

USD dollars (USD 20) for each Judoka registered for the tournament. Your late

attendance or absence for accreditations control mean the exclusion of all competitors

in the draw and the event. All competitors, coaches and delegates will be provided

with credentials, which must carry at all times. The passports of all participants must

be available if required.
