Push back the magazine catch to permitthe magazine to be withdrawn fromhandle section of receiver. If there arecartridges in the magazine, push downthe top cartridge; otherwise push downthe follower to permit insertion of car-tridges from the front under the m agazinelips.Slide cartridges forw ard out of the m aga-zine.Se t p isto l on sa fety. Insert fille d m aga zin einto the handle, pull back the slide andrelease it. If the breech is open, it is onlyn ec essa ry to de press th e slide stop .R elease the safety, cock the hammer w ithth um b, an d pu ll th e trig ge r.R elease the safety and pull trigger. Jn inch (5mm) and turn holding lever1800.Pull the slide w ith barrel and recoil springforward off the receiver. Remove therecoil spring by pushing it forward andlifting it up at the rear. The barrel canthen be rem oved from the slide.

R ea ssemb ly o f p ist olInsert the barrel into the slide. Seat therecoil spring with the rounded forwardend into the slide, push it forward, andinto the recess in the barrel.Push slide with barrel and recoil springonto the receiver and turn the holdinglever 1800 to the rear.
