BUDHA TALAB
Budha Talab is located in the heart of the Raipur city and is also
known as Vivekanand Sarovar.
It is one of the most beautiful sites in Raipur and visitors
can enjoy the boating also.
The beauty of the place is enhanced with surrounding green
trees and gardens.
The place has been made more attractive by putting some
fountains and small pedal boats. It is one of the landmarks
of the city of Raipur.
Budha talab is located in the area named as ‘Purani Basti’
meaning ‘Old Settlement’ claimed to be the oldest part of the city.
There is one garden in the middle of lake with a big statue of
Swami Vivekanand. It is one of the best evening outing place.
The park itself is a narrow pathway running in between the lake
with bettle nut trees standing tall on both side.
The presence of colour fountains on the talab and it looks more
beautiful in the night with the lights. The beautiful part of the budha
talab is the gigantic statue of Swami Vivekananda in meditating
position at the end of the park.
