SQ OR SQUELCH LEVEL: Manual fine adjustment of squelch. To adjust push the SQ button then use UP and Down Keys to adjust level. Zero is open squelch to nine is tight squelch. Then key mike to return to normal operation.

D/A: Temporarily deletes a channel from scan: will be added again automatically if you stop scan and restart scan or turn the radio off and then back on again.

SCP or SCAN PROGRAM: enables user to permanently add or delete a channel from the scan list. Turn off scan then press the SCP button select channel to delete or add to the scan list, press the CH4 button to add or delete channel, then press the CH1 to exit scan programming.
