Costume and Prop Hire Ballet Theatre of Queensland (BTQ) has a reputation for beautiful costuming, scenery and props in their annual productions. A large range of these are for hire from BTQ providing a cost effective way to resource your end of year concert, eisteddfod group or solo performances. Ballets include: Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Nutcracker, Peter Pan, Snow White, Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Princess as well as a wide range of classical and contemporary costumes for corps de ballet. Hire is open to Queensland ballet schools, high schools and youth performance companies. Eisteddfod costumes for solos, duos and trios are also available. Costume Hire Price Individual Costumes $55.00 each Multiple Costumes (20+) $30.00 each Multiple Costumes (40+) $25.00 each Season Hire for individual costumes (for eisteddfods) $150.00 each Prop and Scenery Hire Price Single backdrop $250.00 Multiple hire of props POA Prices include GST Terms and Conditions: • All hiring is on a pick-up/drop off basis only • Period of hire is based on 14 days only. Extra charges will be incurred should the hire period required exceed this – +5% 15 to 21 days, +10% 22 to 28 days, and so forth in increments of 5%. • A security bond of 50% of the total value of the hire must also be paid. This will be fully refunded on return of the costumes/sets in good condition (See below) • Should you wish to borrow the costumes for fitting/photos etc. the 50% security bond will still be required along with a fee of 20% of the value hired to cover handling. The loan period here must not exceed 7 days. • All costumes and props must be returned in the same condition (dry-cleaned/washed where applicable) and in the correct costume bag.
