BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science Exam Board EDEXCEL Overview The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science is highly rewarding and provides a good alternative to Science AS/A2 Level. It is equivalent to three A Levels and is a valid progression route to university. The course is designed with two main purposes – to outline the strong science background required at this level of study, and to put science into a useful context through applied learning. The core units will help you to develop a range of skills, including practical laboratory skills, presentation skills and written skills. At the end of two years you will have a portfolio of work which reflects your efforts during the course.
