Duraon: 2 academic years or 18 calendar months
OVERVIEW
The HNC in Compung and Systems Development is a Level 4 programme, which is equivalent to the rst year of an
undergraduate degree.
The programme has a vocaonal focus, using a range of Compung related case studies, scenarios and praccal examples. It is
well established and recognised across the UK by universies and employers and in a number of other countries. This
programme is also available on a full-me basis for UK students and internaonal students.
Students successfully compleng this programme can apply to a number of universies for entry into the second year of a
related degree programme. Students are encouraged to make their own enquiries to universies about this route, since entry
criteria can vary.

ASSESSMENT
This course will be assessed using a mix of website
design, wrien assignments, presentaons, role play,
simulaons and in-class med assessments.
ENTRY CRITERIA
Age 18 - 21
1 A level pass (at grades A*- E)
A Pass in vocaonal qualicaons, such as BTEC
Naonals and OCR Naonals (equivalent to one A level
pass)
Age 21 and over
No formal level 3 qualicaon required.
