Each year, we produce a guide covering all sessions, services and activities offered to students during their time at Bucks. A
large proportion of the guides are posted out late August (as part of the summer
mailout), but they are also distributed throughout the academic year.

Student involvement card
Every member of our sports teams and clubs/societies gets issued with a
student involvement card. We offer one company the chance to sponsor
these cards with their logo placed on the reverse of the card. The card lasts
for the entire academic year from September to June.
Pre-freshers newspaper special
During the summer, we produce a freshers’ special edition which
highlights all sessions, events and activities during the Freshers Fortnight.
A newspaper gets postedout to every single student in our
summer mailout.

The Bucks Student newspaper
The Bucks Student is our fortnightly newspaper and is available, free of
charge, both printed and online. Each edition has an average print run of 1,500 and it is the perfect medium
to advertise to a potential market of 10,000 students and staff. Each edition
is typically released on a Monday.

DIGITALOPPORTUNITIES
Web banner advert
Each year, our website has in excess of 100,000 visits. It is the main online hub
for all departments and highlights; events, news, jobs and various opportunities. It also is the main online presence for all
clubs/societies and sports teams.
Social media adverts
Posting on our Facebook and Twitter pages can enable you to reach a large group of
students. We have 7,000 followers across both sites. Make sure you take advantage and advertise your products or services to
our growing online audience.
Plasma screen adverts
Advertise on six plasma screens located in various popular high footfall areas through
our bar, main venue entrance and the Students’ Union reception area. Adverts
are displayed on rotation alongside music videos and general adverts.

DISTRIBUTION OPPORTUNITIES
Leaflet/product distribution
Ideal if you want to reach students through leafleting but don’t require a stall. You
can either bring your own staff or, if you don’t have the time or the manpower, we can offer staff to hand out leaflets on your
behalf. The staff employed will be fully briefed on the offer, product or service to
enable them to fully promote your business.
Posters
We have a number of A3 and A4 poster sites around both campuses.
Our larger 6 sheet panel boards are located around the venue and offer
great visual impact.
Halls drops
We have almost 800 rooms split across four different sets of halls in High Wycombe.
Halls are only offered to first year students but it provides an excellent opportunity to get information out to a captive audience
rather than passing distribution.

Summer mailout insertion
Each August, we post out over 6,000 packs to both new and returning
students. Each pack includes a number of different leaflets, a newspaper, a student
involvement guide, and a number of commercial leaflets. This pack is a great
chance to engage with students just before they arrive at Bucks.
Freshers goody bags
Each year, we place a freshers goody bag in every room of halls. This is an ideal opportunity to get promotional
materials directly into the hands of students when they first arrive in their
new room at Bucks. You can insert any leaflets, brochures or promotional items.
Inserts into the Bucks Student newspaper
On average, we print 1,500 copies of each edition of The Bucks Student
newspaper and we offer companies the chance to insert leaflets into each copy.

Freshers Fair
The Freshers Fair is one of the key highlights during Fresher’s Fortnight.
It is a fantastic way to promote your business through face-to-face
interaction with students and typically the event has a footfall of over 5,000
students and staff throughout the day. Electricity and access to the wifi can be
arranged prior to the event.
Re-Freshers Fair
Each year we hold a Re-Freshers Fair, typically in late January/early February.
This is another chance to promote your business through face-to-face interaction with students and enables you to target
students who start mid-year.
On-site stalls
The Students’ Union venue is an ideal space for an on-site stall. This option
offers you a high footfall throughout the day and is the perfect way to engage
with students and promote your business.

The Union Awards is attended by staff and students from the University and recognises the achievements of students across the breadth of the Students’ Union. From volunteering to societies, we celebrate the hard work and commitment of individuals and the role they have played alongside their studies. This is a great chance for your company
to be involved in a truly exceptional event.
Sponsorship of this event includes; your company name in the programme as well as all relevant publicity, and you will also be invited along to present the award to the recipient.

Annual Summer Ball
The Summer Ball is traditionally held in May and spans three evening events in the Students’ Union venue. It is one of the highlight events in the academic calendar with a potential audience of 1,250 students per night.

leaflets, wristbands, print adverts, website information and plasma screen adverts. You can also provide us with banners or any other POS material to raise awareness of your brand at this event.

Annual Athletic Union Dinner
Each year almost 1,000 students take part in sport across 40 different teams. The annual Athletic Union dinner recognises and celebrates the achievements and sporting successes of our teams and students who participate in sport across the academic year.

on all relevant publicity as well as your company name on the presented trophy. You will also be invited to present the award to the recipient.
