•Explain the difference between formal and informal registers when addressing – a) different audiences and different topics of conversation, b) the difference between signing to adults and signing to children

In small groups, adopt roles that include social identity, age, and identify an environment e.g. office, pub.

Hold a discussion about a topic in the news at the moment and identify ways in which your role and environment affect the register of the conversation.
