1. Introduction The engine was inducted for hot section inspection on SAL TCN # W331350. A detailed post-
repair and post-testing bore-scope inspection was requested by the customer.
The bore-scope inspection was carried out in accordance with the PW127M Maintenance Manual
P/N 3037332, ATA 72-00-00, engine-inspection/check. The results of the bore-scope inspection
are described in this report.
Borescope inspection performed at SAL Winnipeg, PW100 Overhaul/Repair facility on July 13,
2016.

2. Borescope inspection findings and required action
3.1 Turbomachinery:
LP Impeller
The LP impeller was found in normal condition with evidence of previously repaired FOD. See photograph #
1.
HP Impeller
The HP impeller was found in a normal condition. See photograph # 2 & 3.
IC case P2.5/P3 air pressure cavity
The IC case P2.5/P3 air pressure cavity was found in a normal condition with no oil leak. See photograph # 4
& 5.
AGB gears
The AGB gear train was found in a normal condition with no signs of elevated wear. See photographs 6 & 7.
Tower Shaft gears
The tower shaft gears were found on a normal condition. See photographs 8 & 9.
Combustion Chamber Outer & Liner Liners
The CC outer and inner liners were found in a normal condition with no sign of deterioration. See
photograph # 10 & 11.
Small Exit Duct
The SED was found to in normal condition. See photograph # 12.
HP Turbine Vane Segment
The HPT vane segments were found in a normal condition with no signs of cracking. See photograph # 13.

3.2 Reduction Gearbox:
First-stage Helical Input Gear.
The RGB 1st stage gears were found in a normal condition. See photographs 23 & 24.
First-stage Helical Gears.
The RGB 2nd stage gears were found in a normal condition. See photographs 25 & 26.
4. Conclusion
The engine PW127M S/N 127077 was repaired with a Hot Section Inspection workscope. A post engine test
borescope inspection indicated that the engine components are in a normal condition IAW MM 3037332 and
the engine can continue service on a normal maintenance schedule approved for the operator.
