provide a peaceful atmosphere. It should be a pleasant space

information you require can be easily found. Library shelving

Would you like your library to have a modern appearance? Do you only have a limited

budget available? No problem. The steel uprights are designed in such a way that no

extra finishing is required. They can be supplied in several colours, and in different

styles: plain, or perforated with round or slotted holes.

If you work in a library, it is important that tasks can be

carried out both efficiently and ergonomically. Our wide

range of accessories ensures that all media can be stored

in a well-organised manner; clear information signs ensure

they can be quickly located. If you require to convert a

section to Display shelves, our specially-developed shelf

bracket enables any shelf to be easily slanted for

presentation purposes. Thanks to the modular

design, you can quickly re-position shelves or

extend the system as required.

Compactus® Power3: extra comfort, security and protection

Compactus® Power3 offers all the benefits of Compactus® Electro and more. The intelligent

electronic control system of the Compactus® Power3 provides even greater functionality by

offering, among other features, the option of security-storage for confidential information.

Different shelving stacks can be assigned to certain persons or departments by means of

programmable access keys. A Movement Detection system and an interface with fire safety

and climate control systems offer even greater safety, both for you and the collection itself.

Compactus® Systems:

Mobile shelving is far more space-efficient than

conventional static shelving. Sometimes called a moving-

aisle system, the single access aisle is ‘created’ wherever

it is required by moving the mobile book-stacks aside,

either individually or all at the same time.

Three drive systems: Manual, Electro and Power3

Compactus® systems can be supplied with three different

types of drive system: our mechanically-assisted Manual

drive, our touch-controlled Electronic drive or our computer-

based Power3 drive system. Whatever your mobile storage

needs, a tailored solution is available. Compactus® Manual: focus on functionality

Rotating the ergonomic operating handle provides swift

and easy access to your collection. A wide range of

accessories allows the all your media to be neatly organised

and safely stored. You can select from an extensive range

of finish options, from cost-effective chain box covers to

eye-catching coloured glass with LED lighting.

Compactus® Electro: focus on ergonomics and safety

Thanks to the electronic control system, Compactus® Electro

units are easy to operate and effortless to move, even with

your hands full. The Motor Current Monitoring System

(MCMS) and photo cells ensure the safety of users.

Thanks to these features, the bases will stop immediately

if another user attempts to move the system while a person

is in the aisle. If electronics make our daily lives a little
