This visitor satisfaction 12-month barometer gives some highlights of visit.brussels online satisfaction survey www.visit.brussels/qualitydestination, which is part of the Quality Scheme for Brussels tourism. The survey is completed on a voluntary basis. Face-to-face interviews are also performed once in a while in touristic areas of Brussels, at random. Therefore, the survey does not at all pretend to be “scientific” or to be a true reflection of what all visitors think or feel about our destination. Nevertheless, we consider it is a useful tool for our future visitors, Brussels tourism professionals and public authorities. I was impressed with the Grand Place and all the town squares we visited. Music on the streets with markets amazing. I would love to come back for the Christmas season looks like so much fun. I would bring an empty suitcase! Thank you for the wonderful experience in Brussels. I will be back.

netheid in de straten laat te wensen over. Brussel zou ook zijn patrimonium betr moeten beschermen en onderhouden. Er staan pareltjs van huizen in het centrum en in de buitenwijken die niet verloren mogen gaan.

Groot was onze ontgoocheling toen we een gepland bezoek aan de kerstmarkt aan onze neus zagen voorbijgaan door werken op het spoor op 3 en 4 december. Te gelijkertijd werden de lijnen Gent-Brussel alsook Kortrijk-Brussel door werken op beide lijnen geen optie meer om een bezoek aan de kerstmarkt te doen slagen. Ik heb ervan genoten om 'citytrips' te houden in de eigen stad vlakbij en toch te weinig bezocht de laatste jaren.

Parking is of een ramp of ongelofelijk duur. Helaas.

renseigner les touristes. Les visites culturelles se sont bien passées de belles choses à voir.

"bon prix". La propreté dans la ville est une catastrophe ! Autour de la Grand Place ça sent l'urine de partout pour un site ultra touristique c'est mauvais genre. Je logeais dans la rue St-Christophe et c'est à 5-6 min à pied de la Grand Place et déjà là des poubelles éventrées de partout des déchets en tout genre dans les rues des odeurs d'urines voir plus des gens trop alcoolisés qui font n'importe quoi en pleine rue des débuts de bagarres fréquents. Vers la tour de Hal (qui est encore dans l'enceinte de la ville) c'est très sale niveau sécurité c'est limite et les gens sont très bruyants ! Je me demande si la municipalité se rend compte de l'état de délabrement et d'insalubrité dans lequel se trouve la ville dans des quartiers du centre ! Pour vous dire je suis repassée la semaine dernière dans le nord de Paris (18 ème arrondissement) réputé pour ne pas être propre et qui craint et bien j'ai trouvé tout ce secteur plus propre que le centre de Bruxelles !

But we were impressed of how wonderfull is the city and we enjoyed every minute of staying there. Hope that someday we will return once again!

We don't know that well french and german and was difficult at first to find the bus the hotel etc. It would be great if more people would speak English because many tourists are not so good at french and it would help them a lot. In rest everything was fine!!!

There was an abandoned bag at the train station and no one in the 3 military trucks that I could warn. I finally found a security guard at the Eurostar and they said they would check it out but I never heard an announcement over the tannoy that a bag had been found and that they needed to evacuate the area. There should be regular messages over the tannoy reminding people not to leave bags unattended. If one is found the area should be immediately evacuated and a controlled explosion by bomb disposal experts should take place

Nice experience and intresting time. Atomium OK but inside nothing to be impressed. Autoworld Museum nice to see even you are not a big passion for cars.Also museum of the instruments it was a big surprice because you could hear them. Beautiful view from roof. I was really impresed of the Grand Place and I wish to come back to Brussels when there is the flowers fesival.

I could not find where to buy a public transport card. The places people told me to purchase them were closed on the days I tried. This was VERY dissappointing as we had to walk everywhere in torrential rain. The only other problem was the taxi drivers. We had a couple who were quite abusive (swearing at us) because we didn't travel as far as they would have liked (fare not big enough!). I understand the problem with Uber but I would definitely choose Uber over taxis after this experience particularly given that we were with children.

We have reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights in a hotel on Square de l'Aviation.The pic's on site were very different from reality & very misleading. It looks like a working girls cheap residence not clean with very small rooms.It took us 3 minutes to run away.They refused to give us our money back.The tourist info helped us to find a very good apartment near by at lower cost then the disgusting hotel. I hope you can worn other tourist from this hotel & save them from what we had to go .Best regards Eran.

Les transports publics sont très chers le service ne suit pas: les stations sont souvent sales, cela s'arrête très tôt le soir etc. Les activités à Bruxelles sont souvent assez mal organisées : sur le piétonnier pour le mondial de foot etc. On ne s'y sent pas en sécurité surtout pour une fille seule le soir. Encore moins depuis les derniers événements . La présence militaire est assez pesante.

The hotel didn't explain that breakfast wasn't inclued in our reservation so we thought it was and paid quite a bit for it. Also at the hotel our sink was continually clogged and although we told them 3 times abut this issue it wasn't resolved nor was any compensation or real apology given for this issue. Although they offered to switch my room they also promised that the problem would be fixed and it wasn't. So we disn't switch rooms. I would have also liked the opportunity to try more traditional regional dishes. I felt like only a few were repeated everywhere. So a culinary guide would have been excellent

Près de Gaston Lagaffe il y un passage souterrain rempli de déchets ainsi qu'en dessous de l'ascenseur près du palais de justice. Sur le plan vendu à l'agence du tourisme il devrait y avoir le nom des monuments avec une légende. Ils sont représentés mais nous ne savons pas de quoi il s'agit.

J'ai pris cela comme une grosse arnaque. Si peu de musés gratuit et beaucoup demandent un supplément. Ceci à gâché une bonne partie de mon voyage que j'avais pris du temps à planifier. A moins d'avoir des explications de votre part voir un remboursement partiel je ne suis pas prêt de recommander ce voyage à quiconque.

Nous nous sommes perdus et trompés d'arrêt avec le tram. Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un quartier musulman où nous ne nous sentions pas du tout en sécurité. Il parait évident que l'intégration des migrants n'est pas la priorité du gouvernement.

Er zijn mooie bezienswaardigheden maar de charmes van de stad verdwijnen onder een dikke laag van zwerfvuil agressieve Roma's onvoorstelbaar veel bedelaars en clochards graffiti urine ...met als voorbeeld : de Kunstberg : vuil jongeren met hun skateborden die toeristen afschrikken (daar waar er een skatepiste wat verder ligt niet te begrijpen) of die massa's alcohol gebruiken op de trappen (ondenkbaar aan de ...Eiffel toren bv) clochards naast de trappen van de Bibliotheek !! ... In één woord : vuil vuil en nog eens vuil. Tevens van kennissen gehoord die er wonen dat er in Brussel een ongelooflijke laksheid is vanwege het politieke establishment. Dit verklaart veel natuurlijk.

De plus dernièrement une personne du groupe à trébucher suite à une personne prénommée plus haut qui était en plein milieu de la rue…sans aucune gêne. Cela devient intenable. Il y a une limite pour et à tout. Est-ce que la ville peut faire « quelque chose » ? La réputation de Bxl n’est déjà pas fameuse en ce moment ! Quand nous en parlons à la police on reçoit toujours la réponse que "l’on peut rien y faire" et que de toute façon les « responsables politiques… s’en foutent ». Fort dommage. Pourquoi ne voit-on pas de telles situations dans d’autres ville belges ou européennes ? Est-ce vraiment politique locale? Déplorable … Pour terminer : la ville est vraiment sale et cela en plein centre ville!. (urine graffiti clochards en plein milieu des trottoirs faisant... etc etc.) On ne reviendra plus...

That cityseeying bus was very useful for me. And I felt very safe walking in the city. I really would like to comeback someday and stay longer to try to see the bluebells florisnhing in that park near Brussels and visit a dear friend again. Have good memories of this city. Splendid museum visits and especially grand to see that the Atomium surpassed my expectations and was really memorable.

The main Brussels railway station has a pretty poor reputation amongst fellow travellers for pickpocketing - a good friend of mine had a very bad experience from thieves who were obviously targeting Eurostar arrivals. A few more unsavoury characters really need to be moved out of the area. No trouble myself though. Perhaps I'm just good at looking slightly fierce?

The city overall did not feel like a tourist destination--it's very clear that Brussels is a working city which is fine. It doesn't have a vibe of a city that wants and welcomes its tourists like a city like London does. When you visit London (or Amsterdam Bruges Reykjavik etc) you instantly feel welcome. There are obvious signs advertisements for attractions everywhere--they really promote themselves and you know what the city has to offer. I didn't feel that same vibe in Brussels. It seemed like the city stopped caring about itself. It's hard to explain but it didn't seem very welcoming.

But Brussels turned out to be one of the best places we have seen in Europe so far. We thouroughly enjoyed our time in Brussels. There were many nice things there but what really stood out for me was the friendliness of the local people! They were all so helpful and so very social. It was wonderful.

It would be really helpful if the public transport was included in the Brussels card. We took the hop on hop off ticket but we still had to use public transport to get from hotel to hop on hop off bus stop and we had to pay for these public transport trips everytime.

Nous avons fait du shopping et dépensé environ 3000 € ce jour-là mais nous ne reviendrons pas dans un lieu ou il faut tourner 45 mn avant d'accéder à un parking.. Fléchage inexistant ou débile accès impossible vivez avec vos vélos et vos utopies. nous nous irons dans des lieux plus hospitaliers et respectueux des visiteurs. Dernier point : cette ville est sale à toute heure. Apprenez à balayer avant d'exclure.

comme BRUssels de l'entendre sur la Grand-Place le lundi 11-Jan au soir

dommage car il y a bcp de bels espaces verts à Bruxelles... > les transports en communs à BRUssels sont limites tout est si sale et a l'air en chantier rien à voir avec PARis Madrid etc... et les taxis chers pour un service 'bof'... > les restaurants situés autour de la Grand Place sont pas terribles à tout point de vue sauf pour la vue..

En cherchant une place de parking en semaine dans le quartier européen (près de la gare du Luxembourg) !!!!!! Gros problème.

Les taxis sont horribles desagréables voiture sales et "voleurs". Chauffeurs de bus très peu accueillants et pas du tout rendant service La conduite des bus et très dangereuse comme les tram grosse secousses et freinage pouvant faire tomber tout le monde.

He showed us hidden gems of architecture in side streets that we would never have found on our own. We experienced the most beautiful view of the city on top of the Museum of Music before the terrace restaurant opened - we would not have even tried to go there at that time by ourselves - we would not have known that we could. And after our walk we had the most enjoyable conversation over coffee in the same café that Jacques Brel would visit - who could ask for anything more? I am so glad that we had the opportunity to have this experience. Thank you!! Another experience that will stay with us forever is the joy of walking to the Grand Place day or night and being absolutely overcome by the beauty followed by a walk back to our hotel near Gare Central and listening to jazz being played by a small gypsy orchestra - the best! And who can forget how marvelous it is to eat fresh waffles as you walk through Brussels admiring the sights? Not to be outdone however by the sheer joy of turning a

Their service was great and the food were incredible good. We had a good time also visiting Automobile and Atomium. It was impressive overall. The last but not least is the Grand Place. It is absolutely beautiful square and a good picture of Brussels.

When I bought the magnetic strip ticket it did not work at all for some reasons. Even though I tried several times by using another entrance machines. It happened on Sunday 6th March 2016 in Metro Merode.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé aussi l'exposition qui a lieu au Musée de la mode sur les crinolines. Avons revu avec toujours le même plaisir le musée Magritte et le musée des arts royaux. Avons beaucoup aimé les stands d'antiquité sur la place le samedi.

Très déçue par le fait que le bureau auprès duquel on pouvait retirer le Brussels Card ait été fermé dans la gare de Bruxelles Midi. Il a fallu aller Grand Place pour le retirer et nous sommes arrivés juste avant la fermeture. Complétement stupide d'avoir retiré les transports qui étaient inclus dans la Brussels Card ainsi que les réductions dans certains restaurants ce qui leur permettait de se faire connaitre. Ce n'est pas par ces mesures que vous allez faire revenir les touristes ! Contraignant de devoir acheter les transports chaque jour. Beaucoup de restaurants sont un peu trop "piège à touristes" sans vrai service ni qualité des plats.

Zo kunnen jullie grote letters 'BXL' op toeristische plekken plaatsen zodat toeristen hier selfies mee kunnen maken. Naar voorbeeld van de 'IAMsterdam'-letters in Amsterdam.

Brussel kan veel netter zijn. Vuile gevels slechte voetpaden vuiligheid in metrohaltes en op straat. Ook kan er iets gedaan worden aan het aantal bedelaars en oplichters.

Even though the main building was under construction the staff member was very friendly and proffessional. She had to bring us inside the building under construction to use our Brussels Card which was very cool as it was a glimpse behind the scenes. The archeological site itself was definitely the highlight of my Brussels experience.

It was difficult to understand how to obtain a SIM card to use data in Brussels. I ended up going to a Mobistar location and the staff informed me that I could purchase a SIM card from them only for calls/texting and that I would have to call Mobistar and have them change the plan requiring an additional fee. This experience took an hour and a half and although it worked out I don't understand the need to charge me twice for one item.

1. Brussels Card didn't pay off. It is economically unfeasible to buy it - you can't attend as many museums so it'll be useful. 2. Absence of signs and information in English at most of the museums and expos. 3. Scarcity of the food establishments - there are too many italian pseudo-restaurant tourist traps in the center.
