Bond, Bassey + Barbara is an unashamed celebration of iconic songs, performed by the powerhouse duo of Samantha Hammersley (vocals) and Ben Austin (piano). Interweave ArtsInterweave’s Remade Parade is a fun, carnival-style parade for the whole family to enjoy, featuring wearable art that transforms recycled materials into sustainable messages. The MotherloadOutside the Square Songs For Our Planet

Meet in the waiting room to enter a lurid installation exploring space, perception and light. This immersive installation uses augmented reality (AR) to assess the value of art and culture in a post-pandemic economy, through the investigation of agency and self worth. DROP IN / OUT | FREE

Australian choreographer Jo Lloyd will conduct a two-week choreographic intensive, mentoring the Stompin dancers to create their own dance works, culminating in a rich live performance experience for all to enjoy. Launceston’s youth dance company Stompin works with young Tasmanians to create and produce exhilarating dance and arts experiences.60 MIN | $20/$15

A God Awful MessTom O’HernTom will create a giant, sprawling drawing that will slowly devour the wall. Equally beautiful and ugly, the work will spread like feral weeds or a computer virus. You will have the pleasure of living inside Tom’s head for a night.

Stormy NightBrandon MeyerAn immersive all-ages experience linking sound to colour. Set in a dark, moody lounge room with a single instrument as the focus point, Stormy Night is tactile and intuitive. Come in, sit down, have a play and don’t forget to look up.

Dear TreeRose Turtle ErtlerMelt into the earthiness of a tree! Nestled under an old oak tree, this intimate listening experience focuses on the role of nature in our lives. Featuring a collection of local voices speaking dearly to trees, this short intense experience is a mesmerizing celebration of the nature that surrounds us.

Breath Grace RobertsBreath explores the ephemeral nature of performance and encountering art. Through utilising some of your biometric data, Grace Roberts (IO Performance) creates a performance experience unique to you. Feel your internal rhythm, breathe, be, and be entertained by a never-to-be-repeated individualised version of Breath, just for you.

SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. Alpine Express, an all star supergroup will play dance hits from the 70s through to the noughties.

Prince’s SquareOur Festival HubLaunceston’s historic Prince’s Square is the home of Junction and the place to start your festivities! You’ll discover bars offering Tasmanian wine, premium spirits, craft beer and hot mulled cider, and delicious food vans serving up premium local produce. Meet your friends and family, grab tickets to shows, enjoy an amazing all-Tassie music line-up and discover our late night bar, the Little Devil. Experience interactive fun for the whole family, workshops, parades, performances, dancing and even a dog show!

MusterTasdance + Junction

Tasdance and over 100 dancers from Launceston present the centerpiece of the 2021 festival. Professional dancers and dance enthusiasts perform together in a cross-genre dance performance featuring music by harpist Emily Sanzaro and collaborators. Muster will celebrate love, connection and the bringing together of community.*Muster will be performed as part of Opening Night on Wednesday for ticketholders. The performance will be free to the public every other night.

SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. Alpine Express, an all star supergroup will play dance hits from the 70s through to the noughties.

Tasdance and over 100 dancers from Launceston present the centerpiece of the 2021 festival. Professional dancers and dance enthusiasts perform together in a cross-genre dance performance featuring music by harpist Emily Sanzaro and collaborators. Muster will celebrate love, connection and the bringing together of community.*Muster will be performed as part of Opening Night on Wednesday for ticketholders. The performance will be free to the public every other night.

Interweave ArtsInterweave’s Remade Parade is a fun, carnival-style parade for the whole family to enjoy, featuring wearable art that transforms recycled materials into sustainable messages. Meet in the waiting room to enter a lurid installation exploring space, perception and light. This immersive installation uses augmented reality (AR) to assess the value of art and culture in a post-pandemic economy, through the investigation of agency and self worth. DROP IN / OUT | FREE

Australian choreographer Jo Lloyd will conduct a two-week choreographic intensive, mentoring the Stompin dancers to create their own dance works, culminating in a rich live performance experience for all to enjoy. Meet in the waiting room to enter a lurid installation exploring space, perception and light. This immersive installation uses augmented reality (AR) to assess the value of art and culture in a post-pandemic economy, through the investigation of agency and self worth. DROP IN / OUT | FREE

Australian choreographer Jo Lloyd will conduct a two-week choreographic intensive, mentoring the Stompin dancers to create their own dance works, culminating in a rich live performance experience for all to enjoy. SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. Alpine Express, an all star supergroup will play dance hits from the 70s through to the noughties.

SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. Alpine Express, an all star supergroup will play dance hits from the 70s through to the noughties.

Muster will celebrate love, connection and the bringing together of community.*Muster will be performed as part of Opening Night on Wednesday for ticketholders. SoliloquyRANTBuilding on the success of the Soliloquy projection project onto Chalmers Church at Junction 2019, Rant returns in 2021 with a second version featuring a new group of young emerging artists aged 18-30. Soliloquy combines digital art, music, projection, literary narrative and spoken word and will once again be projected onto the facade of Chalmers Church.

Sunset SistersBianca Templar + Jasmine MansellBianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell are proud palawa women who have joined together to transform paintings into amazing pieces of digital art to light up the night sky. Their combination of painting and digital art highlights their signifi cant connection to their country.

The Sunset CeremonyProduced by Josh LangfordAs the sun sets on Prince’s Square join First Nations artists and community members around a sand circle under the trees for a special performance of song, dance and spoken word. This family-friendly event will be graced with warmth and light via fi re and projections by pakana artists Bianca Templar and Jasmine Mansell.

Après Ski PartyLaunceston, it’s time to come together and party in Prince’s Square! This year’s theme is Après Ski. Dress-up in your retro ski suits, glamorous faux fur coats, or oversize turtle-neck jumpers and come dance the night away - fi reside. Alpine Express, an all star supergroup will play dance hits from the 70s through to the noughties.

Muster will celebrate love, connection and the bringing together of community.*Muster will be performed as part of Opening Night on Wednesday for ticketholders. Meet in the waiting room to enter a lurid installation exploring space, perception and light. This immersive installation uses augmented reality (AR) to assess the value of art and culture in a post-pandemic economy, through the investigation of agency and self worth. DROP IN / OUT | FREE

Australian choreographer Jo Lloyd will conduct a two-week choreographic intensive, mentoring the Stompin dancers to create their own dance works, culminating in a rich live performance experience for all to enjoy. Launceston’s youth dance company Stompin works with young Tasmanians to create and produce exhilarating dance and arts experiences.60 MIN | $20/$15

Junction was born out of the last Artlands conference in Launceston and the conference will celebrate the legacy, success and longevity of Junction.
