Lead Assembly Operator, Packaging Prepress, Stevenson Color Co. 2010-present

Provide leadership and support to all electronic prepress operators and team members in the respective work flow path to ensure the

company’s goals and the expectations of its clients are met. Additionally the Lead Assembly Operator is responsible for overseeing and

training additional Assembly Operators as well as daily workflow management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the coordination of various phases of prepress assembly to help insure proper timing and quality assurance.

• Communicate to other team members and flow path Lead of any changes that would affect timing, budget, and/or quality of a

project.

• Work with other team leaders (Account Manager, Design manager and Production Art Manager) in jointly managing the client

expectations as a collective management team.

• Responsible for recording all project information accurately and consistently.

• Manage / organize or participate in all project kick off meetings to review art for technical print and packaging industry

compliance.

• Document industry best practices (QC) and department / team SOPs.

• Manage schedule and timing requirements.

• Separate and strip digital art files when applicable.

• Attend required production meetings.

• Work a flexible schedule when timing and projects require it.

• Timely and accurately perform assigned tasks.

• Adhere to and promote company policies and practices.

• Exercise the authority to stop all Production work if it does not meet team or client expectations.

• Promote teamwork mentality inside and outside department to help streamline production throughout flow path.

Applied Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced level technical skills using various production applications and work platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, Artpro and Esko

Screening Software, Acrobat, Mac systems, etc.).

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

• The ability to handle multiple projects and direct, manage and supervise team members at the same time.
