Hi! My name is

Bruce Nieder meyer.

I would like to work as a Game Master at

Mastermind Escape Games in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Because this job sounds like it was created for me. Games have always been

an important part of my life. I began playing Dungeons & Dragons at age 10,

and was playing strategy board games even before that.

Why?

The job description calls for a “professional,

polished, and well-spoken” individual. I

graduated cum laude with a BSEd. and taught

high school for 15 years, during which time I

created and used games in my classes to teach

such topics as post-colonial African development

and the Constitution.

I have since been working as a freelance

court reporter, but I would like to get

back to a job which interacts with people

more.

You want “hands-on and handy with tools and gadgets”?

I’m an old-school father. I fix things: cars, appliances,

computers, roofs, decks, toys, animal shelters, you name it.

Here are some construction photos of a campground my

friends and I designed and built in South Carolina:

And a treehouse in the front yard:

“Game or puzzle-minded”? A friend

owned this puzzle for many years, but he

had never been able to remove the cylinder

from the cage. He gave it to me, and I sent

him this photo a few days later.

Below, the Battle of Dresden in 15mm

Napoleonic miniatures, which I run at

DragonCon some years.

My current favorite game is full-contact medieval

combat called Dagorhir. The majority of the

weapons, armor, and costumes are created and built

by the participants.

We were filmed by the Discovery

Channel for an episode of their

“Mud Lovin’ Rednecks” show.

“Creative thinker”? During college, I created house rules to correct some of

the more glaring problems with D&D. In court reporter school, we were

challenged to use all 13 punctuation marks in the shortest paragraph. Mine was

the winning entry.

“’Fetch me my headsman,' the Queen

commanded me,” the handmaiden – was I

wrong for noticing her low-cut blouse? –

explained to me. "What I don't understand

is: Why would she want her new husband

(the Duke of Brockingham) dead?" "Cela

chienne!" [That bitch!] the handmaiden

exclaimed, "the poor Duke turned out to be

impotent; had he just taken a little blue

pill…"

I also have played bass guitar since I was 13.

High school metal band.

“80s Day” during

homecoming week. Church band I currently play with.

My schedule is flexible and I am available for part-time work. I look forward to

meeting you!
