B&O TrailFormerly a CSX railroad track, this paved trail extends six miles from Raceway Road to 500 N. The trail is flat, making it ideal for all levels of ability. The trail is popular with walkers, bicyclists, joggers, in-line skaters and, near Raceway Road, with equestrians. Brownsburg Parks manages the stretch of trail from Green Street to Ronald Reagan Parkway. This span will include an equestrian trail alongside the walking trail by 2020.
Arbuckle Park LoopThis one-mile paved trail is good for all skill levels. While mostly flat, it includes a bit of an incline on its western edge. The trail meanders through the woods and alongside White Lick Creek, offering beautiful vistas.
Maple Ridge TrailLocated in Williams Park, this .79-mile trail of crushed stone is moderately difficult due to some elevation changes. Hikers enjoy walking through the woods and along White Lick Creek on this trail.
Williams Park Loop This .78-mile paved oval encircles Williams Park. The flat service is good for all skill levels.
Bicentennial TrailDedicated in November 2017, this half mile paved trail connects Brownsburg to Avon. A flat surface, it is perfect for all skills levels. The trail links to the B&O Trail at 300 N.
Recreational Trail Program (RTP) TrailOnce completed, this approximately 3/4 mile trail will link the B&O Trail to Bulldog Way. Projected completion is 2020.
Bulldog Way This trail connects the RTP Trail to SR 136. It is the final leg in a trail system that extends from the B&O Trail to SR 136, connecting the southern portion of Brownsburg to the north.
Trails are open dawn to dusk. Carry a flashlight if using the trails
near these hours.
Use the buddy system. Children 11 years old and younger are
suggested to visit with an adult. Preteens and teens should always be
with a buddy. If you choose to visit alone, make sure someone knows
where you are going and when you expect to return home.
Carry a cell phone with the location feature turned on. This
will make it easier for emergency personnel to find you if there is an
accident.
Wear proper safety equipment. Wear a helmet, reflectors and
bright, visible clothing.
Lock your parked car and keep valuables out of sight.
Look both ways when entering the trail and crossing streets!
Stop at all intersections and remember: motorists have the right of
way. The “hawk” beacon signal on Green Street (by Frazee Gardens) is
a traffic control device used to stop traffic and allow trail users to
cross the street safely. Use it by pushing the button.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. Only
motorized wheelchairs, maintenance and rescue vehicles are allowed.
Report any unauthorized motor vehicles immediately to 911.
Keep right. If passing another trail user, pass on the left and announce your
intention before passing.
Yield right of way. In-line skaters, joggers and bicyclists yield to pedestrians;
in-line skaters, joggers, bicyclists and pedestrians yield to horses.
Maintain a safe speed. Be aware of other users around you and maintain a
safe distance.
Stay on the trail. Do not disturb the trail’s native trees, plants and
wildflowers.
Don’t litter. Remember: Pack in, pack out.
Pets must be on short leashes. Clean up after your pet!
Report Suspicious Activity. Dial 317-852-1100
If you have an emergency, dial 911.
